I' d never see the writing about what they said to the singer, But I do really understand what you have said on your 2nd attempt on reading tagalog. I'ts easy beacause Pilipino Alphabet is same as English Alphabet , just the Pronounciation is different .Napagtripan lng si Kuya na pakantahin." sounds like that .means kuya was just asked to sing by the peeps around him, and he didn't know them, maybe they were in a birthday party, although kuya is hesitant so he tried and they were amazed of his voice,,, :) :) You're so clever...👍👍

Scott, I too am Filipino (and a European to boot). I´ll be very honest with you. I`m giving you a 1 for your pronunciation as I barely could understand what you were pronouncing. However I am giving you a 10 for your attempt. For non-mother tongue speakers (especially English language speakers) Pilipino or Tagalog can be quite daunting. There basically are no "airy" or short vowel sounds. But you attempt is absolutely lovely.

Scott If you are familiar with the way Spaniards pronounce their letters, words, Filipinos pronounce very similar to that. Try to practice next time. I do appreciate your efforts, unlike some of my Brit friends in Toronto(who come from Kensington by the way)who don’t even try.
