You are right about Croatian people. We reward the ones who give their best and we admire humility. Also her smile lights up the room when she enters. The song she was singing is around 300 years old and the way she was singing that song is exactly how it should sound. To put it in perspective how impressed we are that she was singing in Međimurje dialect - If a person from Međimurje (Northern Croatian region) and person from Dalmatia (Southern Croatian region) would speak in their respective dialects, they wouldn't understand each other and both are Croatians. She lives here only 3 years and it's impressive how she speaks Croatian.

The song she sung is called "Dej mi, Bože, oči sokolove" (God, give me falcon's eyes), which is a traditional song from a very small region called Međimurje in Northern Croatia. Međimurje is known for it's great folk songs, folk attire and some dishes like Međimurska gibanica and meso z tiblice.

Great! But it is all in an archaic dialect from northern Croatia. And she speaks it better than she speaks official Croatian. She sang the song lake she was born there. Croats don't talk in this dialect in the most parts of Croatia any more, so it is a regional speech and people in some parts of Croatia even can't understand some parts of the song...The song has ancient sound and lyrics and for example "to kiss my darling" it was literally said "to kiss dear heart of mine". Sorry, I am not fluent in English. But I am sure that many Slavic nations can understand the song, too.

Efra calling Fabijan Henry Cavill.... I cant hahahha He is very handsome though and he is also an actor. As a Croat I would have never thought that a talent even though not Croatian by blood (as far as I understood the guy is her stepdad) would go viral on our version of Got Talent. She was spectacular. I loved how the audience gave her the golden buzzer. Also I am really proud that she also embraces our culture. In Dalmatia, which is the southern part of Croatia has something called "klapa". That is typical for that region. It is mostly acapella but some modern version do have instrumentals as well. Mostly sung by men. And its beautiful. Every region has its own but all of them make me proud of my heritage. If you are interested I would suggest that you look into klapa music. Some Argentinians who moved to Croatia and have their own little food shop in the city of Split (they were in the news once) said in the interview that they in Argentina love to dance and that we in Croatia love to sing - and they are sooo right about it. We may have our folk dances but there is no gathering in this country that goes without music and singing.

Yes, Southeastern Europe has a very rich musical culture. It isn't just the already famous polyphonic women's choirs of Bulgaria. It is also lullabies and love songs in Croatia and Serbia. The a capella lullaby Uspavanka figured in a (distressing) movie about the wars of the 1990s. As for influential pop music, Romanian pop had its great days in the late noughties and a bit after, then a bit Albanian stuff also. Albanian origin pop stars are Dua Lipa (UK) and Bebe Rexha (US). Not surprising that an homage to their own music by a foreigner is appreciated a lot over there. BTW, have you checked out Troy Laureta's Dalamhati album, which has Loren Alred and Pia Toscano covering "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" and Jordin Sparks covering "Akin Ka Na Lang"?

Much respect goes to her parents for instilling good moral character, quality values, humbleness and proper etiquette. Philippine culture has a tendency of raising children within a close loving family environment. The children are typically raised to be more respectful, polite and accepting of each other and adults. The value of a good education is primarily stressed, although, poor, undereducated parents lack the financial capability and knowledge to teach their children adequate educational skills for learning. Until stricter concequences are imposed and enforced in the prevention of public politicians and officials from committing graft and corruption, the Filipino people will continue to struggle. The other primary reason for sufferage is the ballooning population due to lack of implementation of birth control and family planning. When Filipinas get pregnant and the male leaves the relationship (which is common place), the babies suffer and the poverty level increases. Anyway, I digress. This young attractive girl has a bright future ahead of her, I just hope the music industry doesn't ruin her with predatory producers/directors, addictions or greedy managers. She sounds pitch perfect, quite mature for her age and educated. She needs a mentor with her head screwed on straight like Morissette Amon.
