A lot of the projects under BBB and BBM really started even prior to Duterte, under the Metro Manila Dream Plan. Even the subway projects were conceived by the end of the previous administration. You’ll truly be able to fully appreciate how dramatic the changes are when you look at what fiscal policy changes happened during the Aquino administration that kickstarted the infrastructure one-upmanship that continued into the next two administrations. Because prior to Aquino, all the government ever did to solve Philippine fiscal deficits is put more EVAT and VAT at the backs of the working class. Due to the fiscal reforms and changes in the efficiency of tax collection, even Duterte was able to lower taxes (or rather, fully eliminate it from incomes below 200K PHP) later on without affecting economy too much.

The subway project was convinced in 1973! The Metro Manila Dream Plan approved in 2005 was only the updated version of 1973 Transport Study in the Manila Metropolitan Area (UTSMMA) spearheaded by Secretary of Public Works and Highways David Consunji. The 1973 plan provided for the construction of five heavy rail subway lines in Metro Manila.

The subway project conceived in the MMDP under Aquino was made possible with Japan’s help under JICA. All feasibility studies, roadmaps for funding, etc were done with the help of the Japanese. I know that that’s a popular talking point amongst you people but the reality is that there was no existing“plan” to update in the first place because there was no comprehensive study ever made in the same level as what Japan did. @michaelmaningo4696 Fake news. The reality is that the president has no power to allocate funds without approval from (the either incompetent or hostile) senate and congress. During Duterte’s tenure, they were never a problem because he terrorized his opposition. That said, it’s not true that there’s no significant infrastructure either. The skyway you’re seeing along coastal road in the former Coastal Mall up to Taguig and Terminal 3 and all these extensions especially in Zapote to Cavite began construction during Aquino’s tenure and were in fact responsible for traffic in Manila. Ironically, people who didn’t know better blamed Manila’s traffic to the lack of infrastructure. I know because I commute from Las Piñas to Intramuros using these roads daily. Even the Crown Hotel and City of Dreams were built and became operational during his tenure. All these new businesses along the coastal road came out of nowhere during Aquino’s tenure.

Sana mindanao railway project na naman next. Kaya nating magbuild ng 20,000 km of roads eh samantala ang buong railway sa mindanao from davao to general santos, bukidnon to cagayan de oro ,surigao to butuan,iligan to Zamboanga is something like 900km to 1500 km depending on the point of reference. It's important we build new urban centers or links to urban centers.This project will generate at least 3 million jobs over 10 years! To be honest the build,better and more of Marcos at 5.4% to 5.6% of GDP is better than Duterte's. Let's do this!

Ang nagawang projects under BBM ay yung mga pabahay sa Cavite, Bataan at Bulacan at about energy like battery under San Miguel, solar panel plants at renewable energy. Maglalagay din ng airport sa islands sa West Philippine Sea ang Pilipinas. You should say na project ng gobyerno at di ni Duterte dahil taxes ng bayan ang mostly na pinampopondo dyan para magplano at masimulan. Yung Bataan-Cavite bridge, sisimulan na next year.
