I don't know which feeling I enjoyed the most, knocking off the last of my bottle of Jack Daniel or Jayden Daniel knocking off the Eagles. It's not a given that the Eagles can beat the revamped Cowboys. Cooper Rush is playing much better than the first meeting and the Cowboys defense have gotten even better under first year DC Zimmer.

The Eagles should have won this game against the Commanders and I’m not even going to use injuries or ejections as an excuse to why they lost because you have to play with who is available. But anyway, I really think that there is something wrong with Jake Elliott. The guy just continues to miss those 50+ yard field goals when he used to be automatic from that range. I don’t know if it’s just a bad season for him or if this is just it for him and he just lost it? Either way, I think that he needs to be challenged by someone else for his job because he hasn’t been the same kicker that we are all used to seeing. And had DeVonta Smith had caught that perfectly thrown pass by Kenny Pickett that hit him right in his hands twice he would have had at least the first down and possibly would have scored a touchdown at best with that room he had to run afterwords. I don’t know where everyone else is on this Eagles team but it seems like the only playmakers that they have on the team right now are Aj Brown, DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, and Jalen Hurts. I would say that Dallas Goedert is a playmaker, which he is when he’s healthy but that’s just it though. He’s rarely healthy anymore these days and he’s getting ready to turn 30 years old as well. I don’t even have to say that it’s time to go look for his replacement in the draft next year because everyone knows that and this tight end class is supposed to be very good in 2025. I have already said multiple times who I would like to see the Eagles draft as Dallas Goedert’s replacement and that’s Penn State tight end Tyler Warren. But anyway, it seems like that the Eagles still need to find a better third wide receiver to pair with Aj Brown and DeVonta Smith. Jahan Dotson has been a major disappointment and I really did think he would be a difference maker. Boy was I wrong. And the jury is still out on the rookie receivers Johnny Wilson and Ainias Smith. Hopefully they will be more involved in their sophomore seasons next year. And as of right now, it looks like Britain Covey is just a return specialist at best which is fine because not everyone is suited to play wide receiver. Britain Covey is just very good at being a punt return specialist. As for the defense, I think that the Eagles have a lot of good young building blocks for the future. But they still need some more depth at safety though because once Cj Gardner-Johnson came out of the game, there was a drop off in performance by Tristin McCollum. That guy is a practice squad player at best. I sure hope that Sydney Brown will work out for this team because I was very excited about him when they drafted him out of Illinois in the 2023 draft.

COACHING WAS AWFUL IN THIS GAME! Starts with nick have control of your players. Carter and CJGJ are out of control! Refs in this game were beyond awful. How do u hit a QB helmet to helmet knock a guy out no CALL? AJ BROWN GETS MUGGED THEN HIT IN THE HEAD ( helmet to helmet ) again NO CALL? CJGJ uses words gets 15 yards! But gets his helmet knocked off no call? CARTER one hand pushes a guy gets 15 yards? Nick 4th and 1, 4th and 2 u don't go for it??? Moore not adjusting to what Washington was doing with Pickett in there. They were loading the box to stop Barkley on first downs. Pickett played well.. he comes in cold., if Barkley catches the wheel route which was amazing throw, aj brown dropped what 3 balls!! Smith catches that ball games over. Pickett lead eagles to a 30 to 28 lead !! Vic fangio worse coaching this season. Blitzing in weird situations!! Not spying Daniel's on 4th down plays was head scratching. Daniel's looks to run in big spots. Just like Russel Wilson did to eagles on Seattle. Play calling was awful in this game. That Barkley pass attempt was awful. He hasn't passed once this year. Smith was open if Barkley was a QB.

@philly.500 Philly, I am not going to say that the Eagles lost because of the officiating. They lost because they were sloppy and their coaching was not good at all. Shouldn't Nick take control of Gardner Johnson and keep him in his place? Nick doesn't so anything as a coach. I will say though that was one of the worst officiating games that I ever saw. A Washington player takes a punch at Gardner Johnson and Gardner Johnson gets the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty? They missed the false start on the right tackle on Washington's winning touchdown?
