Great presentation! I have a couple of other ideas about nothing, that perhaps you could comment on? 1) Nothing is less likely than something. There is only one way to have nothing, but an infinite ways to have something. 2) Switching gears to cosmology: something can come from nothing, because nothing does not have any power to prevent anything from from happening.

Thank you. Of course, more than happy to comment. 1) It is an interesting and intuitive thought. Makes total sense probabilistically. In quantum mechanics, which is itself probabilistic in nature, nothingness is often considered unstable and improbable. For example, quantum fluctuations can cause particles to pop into existence even in a vacuum. This lends some scientific plausibility to the idea that "something" is more likely than "nothing." A potential issue for this vision is that probability requires a defined framework. To say "nothing is less likely" presumes a pre-existing system within which likelihood is calculated, which itself presupposes "something." 2) This one I found to be intriguing. It, essentially, positions nothingness as powerlessness- If "nothing" truly lacks any properties, including the ability to resist or constrain, then it would follow that there’s no barrier to "something" arising from it. In this sense, "nothingness" is not an active state but rather a passive or neutral one, incapable of preventing the emergence of "something." This interpretation aligns with the idea that "nothing" is inherently unstable. An issue I see with this is that If "nothing" has no properties, it also lacks causality. As a result, the emergence of "something" from "nothing" may not have a "why" or "how" in the traditional sense.

The problem is that once you understand nothing, you realize that you understand nothing.

Nothing is a surprisingly complex and paradoxical subject- one that leads nowhere but forces us, in a way, to think of everything.
