Hawkeye is my favourite Character beside Natasha, I loved him even though throughout Avengers he was 99% compelled and then AoU happened. Whedon killed every possibilty for a Hawkeye movie and Clint's random family was bs. ;; Anyway, great job. He deserves more love.

Kisa Yamato In Ultimate Marvel, Barton had a wife and kids who get murdered. His MCU version is based mainly from Ultimate. While I wish Joss went another direction, Barton's family isn't random.

I know but it doesn't change the fact that he still picked the most unnessary and brutal ark? Everyone's ark is 616 but for Barton it had to be this one? He is an intersting character on his own, he doesn't need a wife and some kids, who got killed off by Natasha. Barton's backstory is amazingly intersting and I loved it but now it's just "Barton and the kids" not "Barton who suffered a lot, who had abusive parents, who run away with his brother, Barton who is deaf".

They changed everyone though. In 616, Natasha was experimented on to near superhuman levels and ages super slow. Tony stops being Iron Man due to his drinking and both Rhodey and Pepper suit up at different points. Pepper is supposed to be married to Happy. Jane Foster didn't last that long and Thor was with Sif. They changed a lot of the 616 canon for the movies, not just Hawkeye. While I don't disagree that I would've preferred that Barton was closer to 616, I was just pointing out that his family wasn't random.

I guess they officially aren't - as they did exist but for me as someone who wasn't even into the comics before, it was quite random. Where did they suddenly come from? How did he meet her? When did he have time to have them actually? The time pattern just doesn't add up, so it's pretty random and there was no hint for their existence whatsoever- if we only refer to the movies. Especially after all the hints we were given in Winder Soldiers and Avengers and even Renner didn't know what was going on suddenly and pretty much said that his family and Brucenot are bullshit and weird. They are simply out of place for me and don't make any sense?

It's funny he says "you fight to kill", because in the comics, he has an aversion to killing. When Kate asks him how many people he's killed, he says "none", but she knows he's lying. He doesn't like doing it, that's why he always aims for non-lethal spots in the comics.

Am I the only one who thinks that instead of Iron Man 3 we should have had a Hawkeye origins or just starting with a flashback movie with Coulson, Trickshot, Mockingbird & Kate Bishop that year or is that just me? Cause I love Clint but I hate the fact he doesn't have his own movie & Iron Man 3 was disappointing. Also( Sorry Clint I still love you) it would have been more logical to kill Hawkeye in AOU instead of (insert character in mind here to prevent massive spoilers for others) cause then the twins would have seen the true meaning of heroic sacrifice & the audience would have cried more.
