The dress that she chose is really stunning on her. I wouldn't go with the shoulder strap. So glad for the consultant that she finally had her 'moment'.

I see myself in her. I would probably be even worse. People want what they want, why can't everyone just be understanding? It feels so good to finally find your perfect "something"! This bride surely didn't give in to pressure from anyone and got the dress she wanted, so I'm glad for her :)

I would love to look at everything in the store too. I mean I know what I like and what I don't. The other person may not and miss something beautiful. Plus I think it's ok but say if she didn't like it because it's better than he putting her in a dress than no. I like this consultant but he was rude today.

Same here. Unfortunately, most stores and stylists purposely avoid that because it forces them to be a lot more transparent and takes away their ability to manipulate your impression of what is available and what seems like the best choice for you. And thus, it takes away their one chance to squeeze out a bigger profit. Without the customer seeing the whole catalogue to compare dresses against more style and price choices, it's much easier to manipulate the customer into buying more expensive items/overstocked items/low quality items they want to get rid of or to steer price negotiations so that the store gets more bang for their buck as opposed to the customer saving. That's why if a customer service rep is ever reluctant or trying to convince me to let them take care of it, I almost always suspect profit motives and try to avoid dealing with them.
@hilaryc32036 жыл бұрын
She was rude and ill mannered; no wonder he wasn't pleased. She should also have done more preparation herself so she could come in with a clearer understanding of what she was leaning towards. She was wishy washy and I just got the impression she wanted to be fawned over more than she wanted to buy a dress. Do you think the consultants appreciate having their time wasted helping a woman who has no clue?
@skaterboy-cz9wj5 жыл бұрын
@GAgaV8 First of all I am sick and tired of brides saying they want something unique when most of them go with some kind of white evening style dress. Unless it is made of leather, has bizarre cut outs, in an odd color or not long - they tend to look similar or "done that seen that". Second, as for the consultant remember his comments that we saw that were honest or rude are not in front of the customer. And viewers like conflict or "bad" people generally that is why people watch reality shows and why reality "actors" are encouraged to have drama, trauma and over the top reactions. Third, people say they know "me" themselves - but often that is not true. people are exploring who they are. It is laughable how many contradictions a bride can go through during the dress shopping stage. Very few so called bridal consultants have real training. Experience yes, but training as to fabrics, body types, aesthetics,even warm versus cool tones etc. So advice is more from a salesperson. But sometimes the bride needs a nudge or some encouragement (psychologist) so they do have a role to builld your confidence.

Charnele Castillion it sounds so much prettier and more meaningful in Vietnamese lol. Direct translation to English only works in some cases, otherwise it sounds a bit off. That's why I have a Viet name and an English one haha 😂

Carolynn D can you please write their names in transliteration so we can see what they sound ike?
@princesstruc20057 жыл бұрын
jami s Well Milky Way's name is most likely Ngân Hà. There could be another possibility too as there are other ways of saying Milky Way. But Ngân Hà is my best guess. Ngân means stars and Hà means river so her name is River of Stars (aka Milky Way). Lol Vietnamese names are sort of poetic! Using the IPA her name is pronounced ŋəŋ (Ngân) hæ (Hà) with a lowering of the vowel sound for tone shift represented by the the grave accent. The closest in regular alphabet is Ngân = ng-ung (rhymes with clung [past tense of cling]) and Hà = ha (similar to saying haha but making sure to lower the tone for the 'à'
@princesstruc20057 жыл бұрын
jami s And her sister Galaxy's name is probably Thiên Hà. Thiên means heaven and like before Hà means river. So her name means "River of the heavens" or "the River of Heaven." Thiên in IPA pronunciation is ðiŋ kind of sounds like theeng with only a slight h sound. Sort of like "thing" but less emphasis on the h and making the long e sound. Like how some Jamaicans saying ting instead of thing

Milkyway is the type that nothing is ever going to be perfect enough and I don't just mean with wedding dresses. She will make some guy miserable. I know someone like her. She spends hours looking at her self in the mirror and takes hours and hours shopping for clothes then returns them in the end because the aren't quite perfect enough. Same thing with her hair, home furnishings, makeup, jewelry. Nothing is quite good enough. Stay away from perfectionist they make your life miserable.

Im keeping my original name, but it's such a pain when people always ask me to repeatedly pronounce my name. I know they are being nice but I am always nervous when talking to new people. Asking me to repeat my name, when I know there is no way they can pronounce it correctly, just makes me feel very frustrated and awkward.

I don’t know why you would want just one consultant; especially if it’s a male. I’m not saying anything bad about a male being bridal consultant but even on yes and the main consultant was male, there was always a female helping the bride into the dress.
@Britney-lh8jr7 жыл бұрын
Gaby Born - Pretty sure it's a different situation when the guy is gay. Plus, it's all about the client. If she's uncomfortable with him in the room, they will bring in a female consultant with assist with dressing.
@Gazzaxxo7 жыл бұрын
2007 Britney it doesn’t matter if he’s gay or not; a female should still fit the client. It’s fine if he picks the dresses but he does not need to put her in it
@Britney-lh8jr7 жыл бұрын
Gaby Born - Did you not read the second part of my reply? Also that's just a little bit sexist???
@joyfuljaj6 жыл бұрын
i thought the male usually only helped after the dress was on, or the bride had on a slip, etc before the consultant came in.
