Only became aware of The Pierces two weeks ago through a friend, and a listen to two or three tracks from their latest album, was enough to persuade me to book to see them live in Sheffield last night (20/9/14). Have also been listening to & watching these videos on You Tube every day since and must say, I am hooked! They are brilliant! Last night, standing only 20 feet away from the stage was awesome. A lot of the older stuff is excellent too, but for me, Creation is by far their best work yet. Whilst it may not be as "quirky" as previously, they can hardly be faulted for upping their game by going down a slightly more "mainstream" path, TV appearances et al, if only to survive. If, by keeping under the radar, meant they were to call it a day, what a great loss that would be, in my opinion.

I saw them them when they did their U.K. Tour, twice both in Edinburgh and Glasgow, I know Catherine goes out on her own sometimes and I know during the making of this album she had a project somewhere in California, I think it may have been a Festival and maybe just maybe, this has taken her "Eye of The Ball" slightly, but who knows maybe the more stuff I hear from "Creation" and the more times I hear individual Songs from The Album, I could grow to like it more than, "You& I, incidentally my favorite from You & I was = It will not be forgoton.
