Well that was a great video. I built my wings and ailerons as one on my Youngster and only cut the ailerons free when I had to bond on their leading edge.

It's a flying machine so of course it's gorgeous. A simple machine which was designed with one purpose in mind - to provide cheap fun flying.
@donwtsn Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Simple and cheap definitely raises the fun bar. That classic look adds to the flavour as well I reckon
@mothmagic1 Жыл бұрын
@@donwtsn Definitely agree with you on that. Don't need all the bells and whistles to take pleasure in the joys of flight.

Nice video. Do you know of a good source of hoop pine in South East Queensland ?
@donwtsn Жыл бұрын
Paddy says he gets his Hoop Pine from Zenith Timbers in North Maclean, south of Brisbane. He also can get some Timbers from Mitre 10 in Toowoomba. He mentions to be careful to check for grain run off and knots etc.
@smjamitchell Жыл бұрын
@@donwtsn Thanks for the info. There is actually an aeronautical specification for hoop pine that can guide the section of the timber with regards to grain slope, density and defects. It was developed back in WWII. Thanks again for the very informative video.
