Cement floors are not good for pigs especially the heavy ones the cement floors destroy the hoofs and joints of the pigs thus the heavy pigs have difficulty in walking like the mother pig you just saw. Its advisable he puts the pigs especially the mothers on non cement floors just plain sand floors. Also the sleeping areas for the pigs need to be soft like hay or grasses for their sleeping areas. Pigs are smart they do not dirty their sleeping areas they go to a certain area to poop and pee. I wonder why the vet has not advised him as such

@daviddavis7959
@daviddavis7959 Жыл бұрын
@@griffinsbanda8106 It is not. Pigs usually go to one place to do their thing and all it takes is have someone come take out the dirt that can be used as compost or manure. I have seen this before. Infact the person who keeps pigs said he does not want cement floors because of the same reasons i mentioned. His pig stys are sand and the pigs are comfortable and happy. Infact he says the place has no stench or smell at all because he cleans the place and uses the manure to grow crops. Cement floors you have to use water to clean them and water and feaces do not hide the stench unless you use soap like chemicals which is more expensive just using water to clean every day.

Out of such content, all you could see is the reason why the pigsty is clean but you still got wrong so the farmer made the drainage system for the show? Ur, not a farmer that's why your mindset is so twisted. There is a lot of work that has gone into this ... he has over 200 pigs... I am a pig farmer, and my pigsty is clean.

I would advice he does a course with an academy here in South Africa, its called Baynesfield training academy, its a 2 week commercial pig farming course very insightful, 80% practicals & 20% theory... it will give him a systematic approach to pig farming..i did it back in 2015 for 550 USD at the time.. It will help him with farrowing which will result in less fertilities, housing approach/grouping the pigs, feeding, disease management - like for instance i see he is not tail docking his piglets, not sure if, not sure if he does teeth clipping as well
