I love how Juice and Tig's characters totally did a 180 from the pilot to the series finale. Juice was the goofy tech genius to being one of the most complex characters of the show. Tig went from one of the most despised characters to being one of the most loveable characters by the end.

I seriously like how much respect they have for one another while talking, you can tell they really did turn into family while filming. Neither is trying to one up the other or disrespectful or anything. It's literally nothing but love and like that foreal. You know how some people's ego's get in the way of things, with these 2 It's definitely not the case. I love both of them as actors, as humans and I hope nothing but the best for them moving forward and their families.

Piney was my favorite character as the spirit of the original club and what it was meant to be. I even dressed up as him for Halloween one year and did the original denim kutte and had the oxygen line running to the nose. It was an underappreciated costume, but I still love it. I'm so happy I found this. I started watching Sons of Anarchy back when I was in the military and fell in love with it. It was an escape when I needed it the most. To get to what Theo's talking about at 37:52 about how confident Kurt is in his writing, he's also being confident in his audience and not insulting our intelligence by spelling every little thing out. A lot of the hints he drops, you just pick up subconsciously or it comes to you later on and you go, "Oh, that's what he was getting at. How brilliant." It's rare that writers and show runners trust their audiences that much.
@ashleyvaughn7848
@ashleyvaughn7848 4 жыл бұрын
I agree! I love that element in a writer, a lot of shows now are sort of this pandering crap, spelling everything out because they're afraid of trusting the audience and letting us figure things out. I really miss the shows from the 2010-ish era that would come on TV once a week, and the audience who had to wait a week to have their questions answered. There was an anticipation and a suspensefulness to the art that isn't as present in TV shows today, with things like Netflix and Hulu. I wish sometimes that we could go back to that time. I remember as a kid being so excited for my favorite shows to come on every week (like Malcolm in the Middle and Whose Line Is It Anyway) and I would rush through dinner and dishes to watch them. Everything today is so automatic and instant. I miss the anticipation.

Dude I watched the show from the first episode as well, I actually remember it so well still, me and my friends had just graduated high school and weren't like bikers or anything but we were metal musicians, and through that had an innate love of motorcycles and bikes, and we were so excited about that show just from the first trailers we saw for it, and the night it aired we were all hanging out BBQ'ing waiting for it to start, smoking weed, drinking beer, excited that we had just graduated and had this awesome thing to look forward to, we knew from the first episode we were ready to go on this ride and were weekly watcher from then on. It's weird to think about how long ago that was when it seemed like just yesterday we had that weekly fix, and had no idea where the story was going and what to expect, thank you to Kim and yourself, and eceryone involved really for the parts you played and gave it your all, week in and week out, this show was a huge part of my life and really helped shaped me as a young adult.

Excellent!! I love this idea of you two talking about SoA from your perspectives, giving us inside info on things, little tidbits on the actors and whatever else you can add. I'm just starting to get into Sons and I totally agree with you that all the little subtleties in just one pilot episode, some of those things will carry all throughout the entire series that make you sit back a bit and say "Whoa!" That's the sign of excellent writers who know how to draw in viewers from the word go and be able to continue gaining viewership with each episode. Brilliant work! But then what are excellent writers without the perfect cast to make the show that much more spectacular? That's why this show will live on forever as being one of those iconic classics that will never be forgotten.

Hey Theo and Kim! Loving this convo! Wanted to point out something ... the crows eating the dove on the first scene, and in the last scene of series finale - eating the bread (same bread that homeless woman is eating with her wine earlier in that episode) .... Kurt always said, make of her what you want ... but a dove, bread, wine, then Jax's blood as he sacrifices himself for his sons ... sound familiar? So damn poetic.

I burned through the show a few years ago and loved it. I showed my wife the pilot a little over a week ago and now we just started season 4. Its just as good the second time around as it was the first. Glad I found these now that I'm rewatching.

I only knew Mr Rossi from Cloverfield and Luke Cage and Mr Coats from Black Hawk Down but I have just finished the final episode of SOA's season 7 this morning. Wonderful show and a fantastic podcast with our two former SAMCRO members coming across as among the nicest, insightful and riveting actors I have ever made the effort to listen to, with the most special aspect being that, WITH the maximum amount of humility and objectivity none the less, they both come across as huge fans of the show. I will be straight onto the next episode and regardless of future guests, while of course most welcome, I hope that Mr Rossi and Coats can keep this going as long as is possible. The deep dive discussions are of course a dream for fans and having these two wonderful actors take such a task on is true gift.

It was such a big part of their acting careers. I bet you they are referred to them when they’re out and about and fans come up to them, so it makes sense.

Incredible work, yall. Excited to listen to you guys talk about it all and I cannot believe I just now discovered that this podcast existed. Ya'll are fantastic.

It is so nice to hear things en thoughts from you guys as actors and now as an audience. People easily think that you know everything thats going around at the show, but you don't and I also think you can't because it is such a huge production. Thats why it is so cool to hear all this from Kim and you, and hopefully more SOA characters in the future! I love this. Thank you!

Theo, how did I not know you had this show. I am one of the four people Kim mentioned that watched the pilot. I had never had a show that drew me in the way SOA. You guys really appeared to be a family and it made the show so much better. I watched religiously while it was on air and have rewatched it, at least once, in it’s entirety every year since the last episode aired. You guys are awesome. I thank you all for diligence to the craft.

I absolutely can follow along with everything that you guys talk about. I have watched the show beginning to end 11 times and I can just about recite it word for word beginning to end. This was for sure one of the greatest shows in my lifetime and I absolutely know the lifestyle of every character and know people who I compare each one to. I just love every single character.

I love this podcast so much. Usually, when I watch KZbin videos, I speed them up to 2x normal speed, cause I don’t have the patience to listen to people speaking at normal speed. And I’m not young...I am 65 years! But with you two guys, I watched it at normal speed TWICE all the way through! I want he hear EVERY single word you guys have to say. I just binge-watched the whole series. I was going to re-watch it from the beginning but since seeing your podcast, I will re-watch the episodes as you do your commentary on them. That’s how much I love your great idea of a podcast describing SOA episodes. You are knocking it out of the park!

I watched it from day one. I was hanging down the biker's club with my best friend who has since passed away, I saw the add for a biker show to air. I was so excited to see it. My best friend and I watched the first few episodes together. Sadly, she passed away early November in 2008. She never got to see how great this show became. I also got to meet Tig and Bobby here in Boston around 2010 or 11 cant remember the exact year. I have pictures with both of them Tig had this weird look on his face and pointing his finger at something lol. Bobby was cool. I asked him to autograph a photo I bought. They signed the photo, and Bobby took the photo like he was going to shove it down my shirt lol. It was so cool and funny
