What’s unusual about this cartoon is that it doesn’t have the Pink Panther theme to carry the action along (it’s only in the opening credits). Instead, it’s Doug Goodwin and his “Ant & The Aardvark” musical cues that did the job.

I could never understand why they decided to add that appalling canned laughter in the later cartoons. ..it wasn't necessary and spoiled them...all they ever needed was Henry Mancini' 's wonderful music track.... a clear case of trying to fix something that wasn't broken in the first place.

Unusal since it's a second Pink Panther with the same theme (caveman) as the previous and for using Doug Goodwin's Ant and ardvark music (Doug would score the first prime time, and Special DFE, GOldilocks, with the Sherman Brothers, for April 1970)
