Idk it seems interesting but I also think it takes all the fun out of homebrew. I enjoy coming up with my own recipes or trying out recipes from the internet. If it was usable as a way to brew custom recipes I would be interested. The way I see this is just like buying a 12 pack with extra steps and more ways to screw it up.
@paulmallon92923 жыл бұрын
Some people, honestly like myself, cant be arsed with the brewing part. But would love to have a proper pint at home as opposed to a can. I fully get your point but a pint like this would be better than a can. You are stating that a can is of the same as this in quality which is clearly false.
@MusingOfaMan3 жыл бұрын
Not sure you're point on the falseness of any claim. The point I'm making is that this is far superior to a cheap canned beer and is much fresher than those and any other canned beer you'll get. Don't understand where the confusion or misleading on our point is.
@paulmallon92923 жыл бұрын
@@MusingOfaMan I was agreeing with you and disagreeing with the poster here. He stated 'this is just like buying a 12 pack with extra steps to screw it up'. I was stating that is false as the video would clearly be of higher quality than the cans.

The instructional video I was watching on my Tablet was quite good up until the point where I had made the brew and need to reattach the brew dock again The instruction does not show that you put the tank onto the brew dock they show it the other way around which is damn difficult to do. So I watched this video and I am really pleased I did Now 6 days to brew ( Fresh Republic Lager) and 2 days to condition So n the third of February I will be deciding if I get a spare tank to keep brews on the go. Thanks for this very informative video with all the tips.

Great video (and production quality). I don't know of any similar product here in the U.S. at that low of a price. I'm an advanced homebrewer, and I brew a LOT. That said, sometimes I want a shorter brew day and I do take measures to achieve that. But I'd love to have a couple Pinters...three or four if I had room. There's absolutely nothing wrong with brewing in this manner, or any manner as long as it works. All the same "downstream" rules about sanitation, temperature control, etc still apply. And if you can really nail those then who can argue? Cheers!

does the beer stay cold enough once you take it out of the fridge?
@MusingOfaMan3 жыл бұрын
Yeah absolutely. We've had it our for like 4-5 hours (maybe even a little longer) and it's still cold when pouring.

Ah, thank you. That's lovely of you to say. Maybe let them know when you order? 🤷🏻♂️😁👍🏻

Fuuuck. I just bought the Sub as a present but this looks like it's a bit more involved with a longer waiting time. Looks cracking and the price is great.

Yeah, you really can't knock it for the price. The waiting time, I feel, is part of the charm and it is a 'more involved' experience, I've got to say. Can not recommend it highly enough.

Excluding the initial cost of the kit, how much does each pint work out at?
@MusingOfaMan3 жыл бұрын
Depending on the press, typically £1.20-£1.40 per pint.

Fantastic review. Certainly got my interest in this. One question if I may, how long does the beer remain cold in the Pinter, please? I’m not a fan of warm beer
@MusingOfaMan4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. 🙏🏻 The longest we had it out of the fridge was about 3 hours and was still more than cold enough.

Appreciate the reply. Thank you. Off to measure the beer fridge to see if it can live in there 🤣

Could you stick it back in the fridge to keep it cold. Or just store and pour direct from the fridge.
@MusingOfaMan3 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely, we just emptied it before I had the chance. As for pouring from the fridge, that's definitely possible if your fridge is deep enough but you still need to be able to reach the back of the unit to turn the carbonation dial between pourings. I just find it easier to take out and leave to settle. It keeps the cool temperature for a good few hours.
