In any composer's ''oeuvre'' there's usually dross and more or less gold, sometimes just a few nuggets. With Donald MacLeod it's pretty well all gold.

That's obviously great PR for Blair! I'm just curious how big the difference between the Blair and chanters like the Deger really is. MIDI chanters as such aren't new. Is the haptics really worth the double price of the DegerPipe? And what about Blair said you could save sounds on the chanter itself?

Maximilian Brinckmann thanks for the comment - I did post a video and text review at Pipes | Drums: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4i9ZHiupd-Vorc so check that out. For me, the price difference over the other brands is justified. The sound is much better, and the sensors are much better.

What's the cord coming out of the chanter.

That's the 1/8" to 1/4" you'll need to use headphones, patch into an interface or amp, etc. The chanter doesn't play sounds on its own. Here's my review on Pipes|Drums: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4i9ZHiupd-Vorc
