I was thinking in the beginning of the video that you must have checked the plate to make sure it would fit on the spline and marked both faces as to the position of the key to help aligning them. I truly hate that you're basically stranded for now but also I love that where you've been stranded is such a magically wonderful place. It brings me joy to see you are getting on well even if it is very frustrating installing the new plate. It's also very good to hear that you were able to get your money back and that many who watch your channel came to your aide when it was needed. It gives me hope there are still good people in this very messed up world we live in. I think of you all often and your young family and wish you nothing but the best.
