Right after my mission, uh, I went to, uh, one of his concerts and we went and talked afterwards, we went and had lunch, er (or) dinner and, uh, I remember talking to him and he just kinda had this, this look in his eye, it's like he was, uh, he had something missing, he looked like he was sad and he was such a happy guy, very optimistic, and I'm sure he still is today, um, but there was something inside of him that was just kinda, um, missing and I remember him talking about that and we talked, um, we talked about how his life, he had pursued what he wanted to pursue and he had all these things happen that the world would say is great, which is, you know, he was famous, his band was doing great, um, but yet he was missing something, and uh, if there's anything I can leave with y'all tonight it would just be that my testimony of this gospel is that I know what's real and it does bring true happiness. When I talk about the gospel, what I mean is I mean is the faith in Jesus Christ and that's what we teach in our church, is to believe in Jesus Christ, that he lives, that he leads and guides this church today. Um, and I've seen so many, so many people who've who've come to learn about the church and different things and, uh, find peace and happiness in their life and this song is about wanting to help my friend out, uh, which when I get home that's that's probably one of the first things I'll do, is try to track him down and talk with him. But, uh, it's about wanting to help a friend out but at the same time you gotta keep yourself clean of those things and so you can't get too close to the lifestyle, just enough that you can try and help your friend out, uh, so it's it's, uh, it's probably the most recent song I've written and, uh, it's called "The Pit", and what it's talking about is the pit is kind of a life of sin and making wrong choices, um, it's talking about wanting to live, you know, a life that would bring happiness and peace and and wanting to help him out and it's on the piano so I'm gonna make a quick move. Can you hear that in the back? Good? Is it too loud in the front? Okay.
