I don't think everyone's getting Kornbread's humor - the purposeful "disinterested puberty-going-through teenager vibe while saying hilarious things" extra dry humor I found it hilarious but I think a lot of people thought this was her being actually disinterested and attitudey instead of putting on a persona as part of her branding It's a shame! I think she's hilarious and unlike a lot of queens, she can keep up with Bianca in the banter game! I loved this!

This! I actually came over here to watch because of the redditors who kept referencing this episode, commenting that Kornbread is “miserable” and “a sour human being”. But five minutes into the video, I completely understood Kornbread’s shtick. It is exactly as you described: “disinterested puberty-going-through-teenager”. But if I may, I’d like to point out that Kornbread’s sulky, cynical adolescent vibe is very common among young black teens. I’ve been teaching middle school for decades, so I encounter 12- to 14-year-old behavior every day. Most Caucasian “cool kids” at the suburban schools generally avoid eye contact with adults, they slouch way down in their seats, constantly mess with their phones, and refer to everyone as “dude” or “brah”. If Bianca interviewed a white 6th grader, they’d probably talk too fast, or they’d mumble, and their speech would be peppered with the words “like”, “umm”, or “y’know” every 3-5 seconds…but most wouldn’t typically be smart-mouthed or sullen to her. If anything, they’d have their iPhones out, texting friends or mugging for the camera the whole time. I currently teach 6th grade at a majority-black school, where the typical pubescent behavior is a little different. Kornbread’s teeth-sucking, side-eye rolling, non-smiling, smart-a$$ responses…that’s a vibe typical to many young black teens. Their demeanor is meant to send a message to the world that says, “Bitch, please.” Neither demographic is “wrong” in the way their young teens behave; it’s just different. As long as the students aren’t being disruptive or disrespectful, we teachers don’t take it personally. I wonder, though, if so many redditors are misinterpreting Kornbread’s attitude as sour or miserable?

She has no bio family left anymore because she’s estranged from her mother. If I lost all of my entire family right before filming I’d have a short fuse before getting upset or angry too. She did the right thing by leaving when it wasn’t bringing her any joy and the girls were testing her patience and mental health in that moment. Sure she could suck it up in that moment and push through but she knew that it would keep coming up for the rest of filming every single day

I think my only major issue with this season of All stars is that it seems like not everyone really came to play ball. The stuff that Jimbo is doing is what I would expect from an “all stars” cast. It truly seems like not everyone is bringing their best game and that makes for very uneven reality tv.

There was really something off with KB even during her season. People see her as the congenial one but the way she was kind of dismissive towards Jasmine, I already sensed the negative energy from her. Didn't like her even from the start.
