I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE ISN'T AFRAID TO CLOCK CYNTHIA. Honestly, she is a delightful person but I just don't think her drag is at the same level as the others. She doesn't seem to know her body or what will look good. I'm sure she had plenty of time to prepare and she comes with baggy, lumpy looks, flat hair, and the same makeup that doesn't flatter or enhance her face. Like come on girl, this is your second time on the show, she should have been practicing her makeup, having the sickest outfits made, etc. the day after the season 8 finale. Lmao. And this isn't to say I don't like her, BECAUSE I DO! She's inspiring, funny, and adorable. But her drag has been disappointing (except for the first reveal outfit) and I think she'll be sent home soon.

I think one of the main problem with the runway this season is that the queens try to do something out of the box and it doesn't work since they all do it: the wow factor from it being different isn't there and all that's left is "well... that is a choice". It also ends up looking very pedestrian because they don't go for the drama the theme implies (princess, faux fur)... It always feels like a missed occasion

pretty n petty I think that the reason why Nina was "hyped" is because she posted those KZbin videos of herself imitating Jasmine Masters. Basically, the fandom is more-likely to throw their support behind someone who either started on KZbin or had an online or social media presence before going on the show. Before the season began, a lot of people were pegging Jaymes Mansfield to do well because she's been on YT for a while. Kim Chi and Ms. Fame all were favorites when their seasons began because of their Instagram accounts. Basically, being active online helps gets your name out there, and you get a leg-up on the show over queens who are more unknown.
