An excellent video. Just need to explain that the stem changes to the pitch envelope. You don't actually see it as a seperate active envelope as you do with say Pre-Fx. And also useful to mention how grouping allows all stems to follow the change.

I wonder how useful this could be for restoring bad tape recordings, where speed has noticeable fluctuations. I already use reaper to automate EQ envelopes to get rid of microphone feedback, and momentarily distorted high end frequencies. The reaper envelopes take ages to get right for precise tasks, but theoretically it could work.. interesting.

if i do that on a dry signal and then send it to a delay/reverb channel, wouldnt it be smoother with the echo/reverb sounds? they sound a bit weird in here, like they get pitched up too....gonna have to try that.

Is there any way to move pitch envelopes on several items simultaneously??
@meethhathwer64025 жыл бұрын
I think you can't. Reaper doesn't link audio clips. There are two ways for you to handle this. One is creating a subproject for the loops and once you edit the subproject it would render the loop back into the main (and you can copy the render in main instead of having one giant render). Second way is using ReaPitch, automating the pitch and using linked automation items for the loops.

@agustindaponte77304 жыл бұрын
I had the same issue. Apparently this doesn't work with MIDI items, so you can right click on the track - move track to a new subproject. So the MIDI tracks is rendered to an audio file on the current project that you can work with :)
@adityabali19394 жыл бұрын
@@agustindaponte7730 I found another hack. Just open the piano roll of the midi sequence that you programmed and on the bottom left you can add automation commands. The default is set to "velocity" but you can add a parallel command from a bunch of options, ranging from pitch, volume, panning, EQ etc. It is much easier that way but thanks!
