What!? How doesn’t it make sense? The monsters are a more intelligent version of humans. Being more intelligent, the discover time travel. They use this time travel to go back to a time where humans where dominate and use that to power their cities. When Sully goes into boos room, they become friend’s. Boo never forgets her best friends from the closet, and devotes her entire life to find Sully again. While trying to do this she also discovers the time travel herself and uses that time travel to try and find Sully.

It may be fun to speculate what could be, but people are taking the Pixar Theory as fact and are even basing other theories on the Pixar shared universe like "Who is Andy's monster?" and have speculation videos on who the identity of a character's parents is, with characters from other movies as possible suspects. Like there's a theory about Dash being Molly's father. Sure, it's fun to have crazy theories and crossover fanfics, but people gotta realize that Pixar movies aren't the same universe. There may be a few Easter Eggs in Pixar movies but none of them proved the same continuity, just a few assets reused. Riley's cameo in Finding Dory is probably not Riley but just a girl who looks similar to her.

Pete Doctor said they are not making a shared universe. The idea of Monsters Inc using time-travel doors is weird when you realize that they could get more scream energy by scaring the same kid in an endless loop. Oh, and the movie never said anything about time-travel so it's not likely that the doors travel through time. And Boo is not the Witch from Brave. The tree at the end of Wall-E is not the tree from A Bug's Life. The contemporary references in A Bug's Life show that it's in the present day, not the far future like the Pixar Theory suggests. The easter eggs are nothing more than shout-outs and not meant to be taken seriously.

bugs life takes place in the 90's just like toy story 1 and 2 do. not thousands of years into the future after wall-e evidence: the lion king Broadway play musical Easter egg.,the pizza planet truck and trailer have not deteriorated,after those so called thousands of years(because the pixar theory assumes a bugs life takes place around the year 3000),the tree in a bugs life appears in toy story 2. (I would count the toy story 2 blooper,because flick and Heimlich appear, but because,bloopers are just put as jokes=Non canon. that one doesn't really matter if bugs life was supposedly years after wall-e,then the humans would be fat,lazy and be wearing red/blue clothing,while living on machines.

@ericblackwell70 i'll start believing the pixar theory to be true,when pixar decides to actually allow old characters from previous movies to make crossover appearances in the new films,and I'm not talking about a blooper cameo or an Easter egg(like sully's carving in brave) I want to see a movie where the old characters are actually interacting with the film's story in someway even if it's a short scene. here's an idea for pixar,make a movie about pizza planet have it take place in the year 1995,and have it be about this young adult male named Eric, who lives with his mother and his little brother, in a trailer in the middle of nowhere,and he works a job delivering pizza's to pizza planet,in order to help his family move to California or whatever city they are trying to make it to,so they can live in a stable home. for one of the scenes they could have Eric's little brother waking up at night to get something to drink,then he hears a crash coming from the kitchen,he turns the light on only to find a scary purple looking creature,which he thinks is an alligator( we the audience actually know it's Randall from monsters inc.) and it freaks him the hell out and he calls his mom and she beats the hell out of it,and scares it off never to be seen or heard from again. or how about a scene where eric has to deliver pizza to a kids party at pizza planet, before he gets ready to go, he stops by a dinoco gas station to get fuel and ask for directions and before heading out to go pizza planet,he adjusts the front mirror of the truck and in the reflection,we the audience can spot a buzz lighyear and woody in the back of the truck,eric doesn't notice they are in the truck,because he's too much in a hurry. if that happens then I will believe some of the movies of pixar are connected in the same universe. what's your idea?

Actually I'm going to disprove the theory like how didn't they notice the credits in A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, and Finding Nemo? Like A Bug's Life had Woody in the blooper outtakes which tells us which Toy Story takes place around the same time as A Bug's Life, more proof? There is Heimlich and Flik from A Bug's Life talking about they are in a "Two Movie" but it's not A Bug's Life 2. And there is Mike in the credits in Finding Nemo, which Monsters Inc. is supposed to take place in the Far future.
