I upgraded from a Pixel 3 to a Pixel 6 Pro and the experience has been excellent. While I expected it to be better the experience is on a whole diff level. It's much faster, smoother and the new cameras are a joy to use. I was a bit skeptical at first (in regards to size and the price premium of 6 Pro vs. 6) but I'm happy to say that any doubts I had about the phone are gone.

Using the Pixel 6, moved from the Samsung S10 base model. Main difference I miss is the one-handed ease of the S10, and it does not have as much customization as I'd like, but the way that everything is interconnected (apps and accounts) with the P6 and the display redeems it. The speaker on the P6 is also noticeably weak, in my opinion.

The display is actually lower resolution and quality on the P6 than the S10. I use S10 for work and kept the P6 in the box when I saw how bulky it was, one handed for work is great. I’ll use P6 after I get a good feel for Android 12 on s10 to compare

Happy you touched on haptics, I feel like so many reviews leave this out and it's something I value, generally not a deal breaker (unless it's absolutely terrible) but more of a nice to have. I too wish the display on the 6 was a 120Hz panel. I recently used a 6 Pro for a handful of minutes and just in that small time alone I immediately noticed navigating through the UI was much faster than on the 6, I'm sure the 4GB of additional RAM on the 6 Pro didn't hurt either. Overall though for a $599 device with this level of build quality and specs, there's very little in terms of real tangible aspects one can complain about and for me it is easily the device or the year.

@@ricardorpradarlog Are you using a USB PPS charger? I got one on Amazon from Spigen and it charges up faster than my Razer Phone 2 which I'm upgrading from. It charges very fast to about 80 percent then slows down to preserve battery health. I actually only charge my phone to 85% in most cases, and I can go from dead to 85% in rough a hour. dead to 50% in 30 mins. However, if you want to charge to 100% then from 80% to 100% is significantly slower. Hope this helps.

Right on! The most accurate depiction of my experience with the 6 (out of many out there). I don't compare it to the pro cause I don't want that big thing. I'm not missing the telephoto. The selfie cam actually looked better on the 6 in your review pics (to my taste).Video, no complaints there. December update came along, feels even better, liking it even more. Great battery... again, great battery life! The fingerprint sensor feels satisfying to me cause you feel it actually makes certain of what it's capturing and it is by no means slow. Awesome phone. Could be smaller to be perfect. 5.8 inches is the best size ever for a phone to me. Besides that... a joy to use on the latest and greatest Android.

Bro the only difference between the 6 and the pro is the front camera has a few more pixels the 6 has 4260amh battery the pro has a 5000amh battery but I have had my Google pixels ear buds which for £98 are a absolute bargain best fitting ear buds I have owned, on for hours on the trains and it hardly uses any battery plus it has a pixel 6 app to adjust equalizer, and it charges so fast it's very impressive so why pay £246 extra for a few pixels and a little bit extra battery which the pro will need with the difference in size, you chose the right phone I have had iPhones Samsung S series and this phone at less than half price beats them all plus with the titan m2 chip security it's the most secure android phone on the market I just have malware bytes as an extra to check every app

One thing most reviews on youtube never mention about the standard Pixel 6, not the 6 Pro, is that the screen is actually a lesser quality panel compared to the Pro. That's why the display is set at 90 Hz. The issue with that, is that the Pixel 6 has pretty bad OLED green tints on quite a few devices. I have one and I'm trying to get it returned for a refund because it's very obvious at low lighting, I can't imagine how this many reviewers haven't noticed or commented about it, since as soon as you search up that issue you'll find many anecdotes of people having the same issue and returning multiple times to have varying degrees of screen tinting. I would definitely recommend the 6 Pro, as the 6 wasn't even usable for me coming from a previous phone that had a perfect display, please think about this before buying the standard 6.

The problem about creating a phone with a matte finish style back is the interception and conductivity of other materials when wireless charging. In short - glass is a very efficient way of wireless charging. Some people love wireless charging and hate carrying cords around. P.S. I got my 256GB Pixel 6 Pro today and love it.

I got the Pixel 6 pro and what i can tell you is that the fingerprint sensor isn't that bad. I olso have a silicon screen protector on it with no problems, for me is fast enough. Yes, is slower than a ultra sonic which have that instant tap unlock filing about 0.1 seconds, let's say the one from Pixel 6 pro is about 3 times slower around 0.3 seconds. Waayyy about half a second. And another thing I noticed is that in other applications the sensor is way faster, like confirmation of a money transfer where you have to put your password or fingerprint, and that prove somehow what google says about "slower" reading when you unlock your phone, is only about taking longer for more security. If there was a choise in settings between a bit lower security, but faster scan, I would choose that.

The only thing that makes me want the pro is the extra RAM. I usually keep my phones for 2.5 to 3 years and the extra RAM just seems a little future proofing, plus being able to open a few apps without them refreshing when I go back would be nice too.

I just got the Pixel 6 Pro and it is quite nice and a massive upgrade from my Pixel 2 XL. Though there are some issues: the curved display leads to some webpages to have bent text or photos if the page goes edge to edge. Then there's the issue where any skin touching the edge will cause some touch or scrolling issues but randomly/ not specific instances or grip type. I would go with the Pixel 6 but I find myself liking the telephoto lens quite a bit and the front facing camera makes it known that it's an older module/ sensor.

I've had the pixel 6 pro for about a week now and I have a FEW complaints: (made sure I'm on the latest software updates)* 1) it has such a hard time connecting to my Bluetooth devices & for some reason at full volume I can barely hear music from my BT speaker & car speakers the phone is actually louder. 2) it's bulky I'm typing with two hands (my OnePlus 8 I can one hand it all the way and I love that) the screen is so long I have to shift my phone down to reach and in doing so I touch the camera array. 3) The charging is so slow I'm spoiled from OnePlus 65 Watt warp 40 min charging The 6 pro can take 2+ hours. 4) The screen is not as bright and the colors are not as impressive. 5) The front & back cameras are EXCELLENT I was impressed but the video is... Dismal, very grainy but stabilization is good. A camera ≠ a phone. 6) Apps will randomly freeze and stop working. 7) My location on GOOGLE MAPS will jump around and take several seconds to correct itself (literally scratching my head) 8) You don't get a dedicated charger in box nuff said. FINAL THOUGHTS: I feel like I paid $1085 for a bigger bulkier phone that gives me essentially the same experience I already have (slightly worse) and the few things it does different it does them ok. As a very techy and functional person I was pretty underwhelmed I'm considering returning it cause my phone still excells at the things I need it for. *Maybe future updates will improve quality of life and making it compact... It just doesn't feel premium or flagship to me.

I'm using the 6-pro. A couple problems here. 1) the phone is massive, unless you have massive hands. You can't use it one handed. 2) it's very slippery. I almost drop it daily 3) the zoom - the zoom works amazing but when it switches from the main to the telephoto it has so many issues with focusing. So annoying. 4) the battery was terrible at first but now it's mediocre to okay

@@brownwallet942 Samsung N20U ultrasonic sensor is the worst of it's kind. The P6PRO works quite fine. You do get sometimes misreads but the second try more or less a 100% guarantee.

Don't understand the comment about the Pixel 6 Pro battery life. I've had one now for about a month and it's been a champ for me. I take it off wireless charge at 7am in the morning and it always gets me through the day. I think the worst was over xmas when I put it back on the charger at 3am the following morning, after several hours of mixed youtube + other streaming use + regular browsing and still had 21% battery left.

I like your editing, but would still prefer a 16x9. I realize a lot of people watch on their phones, but as long as you're keeping a little room on the top and bottom from anything really necessary to see, I can just expand it to fill a phone, while not getting ugly black bars on my PC or living room TV. You even had to cut parts of the top of your head off in talking sections to get the ultra wide ratio, which is just what would happen if I expanded it on a phone. That wouldn't have happened if formatted for 16x9.

I really don't get this change in having ultrawide lenses on the entry level of premium phone instead of telephotos. The ultrawide is such a nieche use and its always such low quality compared to the main camera while a telephoto can do so much more and doesn't lose quality.

Seriously considering selling my iPhone 11 to get this one after seeing all the great features it's got. Tbh my main reason for switching to iphone was the ecosystem but to be hones I don't shoot enough video or upload enough Instagram stories to justify having a phone I don't enjoy using as much. I don't like the look of the photos as much as I liked the ones from my pixel 3XL, but maybe the thing I miss the most is the amoled screen. If my current phone had one I'd probably keep it.

How much of the finger print sensor do you think could be individual device variation? I feel like I've seen a lot of reports of varying quality including "it's a bit slow but it works consistently fine" on both the 6 and 6 pro, and I personally haven't run into any issues at least within the first month of using my 6 pro.

Definitly get a sturdy case for this one. It is so slippery that it slides off every surface that is not perfectly straight.

I have a pixel 6 pro and I am very unhappy with it. It over heats, battery runs dry way quicker then even my s20±, viewing angle on screen is awful unless directly looking at it, and idk why but the screen feels like a plastic screen(I know it's new glass). Along with the operating system is buggy with most apps but that will be worked out in no time. On a good note the camera is nice and finger print sensor is snappy and works well.

im on the 4XL and my contract just ended, im still on the fence about getting this phone as I feel like its not really worth the upgrade yet, the Pixel 4 XL still feels good and snappy. I may see what Samsungs offerings are in 2022 before I make the call. However not sure if I could go back to Samsung skinned Andriod after using untouched andriod for so long

Going from a Huawei P30 Pro to Pixel 6 feels like a huge downgrade. The pixel 6 is frustrating to use with all the swiping motions, wish it had a simple 'back key' and my sim (EE) keeps losing connection requiring phone restart multiple times a day. (Very common problem!) Only had it a week and I absolutely hate the phone.

Bullshizz, you can enable quick toggles in the settings so you have the 3 key layout. I think you didn't even browse through the phone to find that option.

just got mine in the mail and I really love it, but do agree about the pro design. I would've actually liked a pixel 5 or 6 regular body with the pro specs.
