I am reminded of the tale of the man who first saw a giraffe in a zoo, in Victorian times. His comment, having stared at the creature for some time: "I don't believe there is any such animal". Seeing the flashing fingers and feet, the jumps between manuals, the stop control, and the overall management of the organ, how can this be possible?! Many thanks.

Johnathan has topped himself again. Even more awesome than his previous video of "The Planets." Tom's tour of the Cathedral creates a world in itself. You could watch it even without the sound. From Chicago, U.S.A.

First let me Congratulate you Sir, on your extraordinary expression of our Cosmos, particularly our Solar System. This aligns so perfectly with the ancient mythological interpretations of the “ planets”, and the attributes our forbears applied to each eons ago. This is the critical to true comprehension of the nuts and bolts of this magnificent universe, the synchronicities found within our fractal universe : Sound. Vibration. Frequencies, …. And crystals!🎼🔈🎚🎛📳💎💠

That was crème de la crème, I have never heard Mars the Bringer of War on an Organ before, I have always been a lover of organ music be it church or cinema with organists like Reginald Dixon, Sidney Torch & Sandy MacPherson, when I was younger I spoke with my local vicar to ask if the church organist would mind me sitting in at his weekly practice he very kindle said he likes to do it alone, perhaps he thought I had an critical ear I didn't I just enjoy the sound of the organ, I did join a local organ club a few years back that was played on the resident organ, but they ceased to exist.

Brilliant video in so many ways. First, when I was 11 years old, back in 1959, the very first LP vinyl record I ever bought was The Planets, on the Ace of Clubs label. Second, the Scott Brothers are, in my opinion, the very best keyboard players in the world. And third, I was in Chester last year and saw the Passion Play outside, and later went inside, Chester Cathedral and it is a very impressive building. Many thanks for this great presentation.

You play fantastic, sir! One thing, in Uranus the playing is muddy in the middle. Are you using a 32' Bourdon coupled with the 16' on the great, swell and chair (choir)? It gets thick. Just my observation from playing the contrabassoon part. I might thin it out with some 4' reeds or, on my instrument a 2' piccolo stop to give some higher registers, although mine only has 2 manuals and a pedla division.
