The American D-Day figures by Speira match the Conte GIs perfectly. I ordered them in 1/30th scale and they blend right in with the Conte GIs. I also got a 1/32 scale German tank commander and a 1/32 scale sailor for the Lindberg landing craft. I'll be ordering some more. The Speira figures look rather bland when you first get them but as soon as you apply paint you see tons of details. Great facial expressions too.

@@ThePlasticGeneral Google and ebay searches sometimes list it as the Remco Ideal Anzio Invader. But remco and ideal have no affiliation. Everything leans that ideal are the makers of this toy. I tried at photos of it that include the original box. But couldn't see it clear enough to determine the mfg name.

@@ThePlasticGeneral I recently bought the Britains Deetail British WW2 infantry and the mortar crew. I took some of the Conte Germans that are getting shot, cut them off their bases and glued the Britains British to them. Works well and they look so much better, plus you can use the German as a dead guy rather than one just getting shot.

I do not like the Conte figures. They are too big to use with 1/32 figures. I do not like the stands, they are too thick. I also do not like the plastic they are made out of. If a figure has a bent rifle and you straighten it using heat by the next day is bent again.

Gotta use hot water and cold water in my experience. I haven't used it with Conte yet, but it seems to work good with Toy Soldiers of San Diego.

Ever thought of what you would choose to be in WW Two? You want to be on the winning side so the Allies then. Officer or enlisted man/woman? Definitely the lowest rank for me do not want responsibility of ordering troops to their possible death in battle. So a private then. What service then? Don’t like marching or fighting sea sick ness so the Air force then. What airforce?Clearly the American Air Force best of the best. So i have my answer a US Army Airforce ranker. Air crew too risky so air craft maintenance then. Or a cook marketable skill and access to food aplenty!
