Someone tried this against me in an RPQ. I guess they missed your warning on the 'compulsory move only'. I called them out on it and they didnt get to use the bombs.

So, for someone who plays droids (ie, lots of squishy boom boom targets), how do you protect against this kind of tactic?

Two things: 1) B1s are actually sorta terrible targets for something like Explosions, because even if a unit takes 4 wounds, it’s only half the squad! So in that regard, don’t stress too much about them getting hit by it. 2) But in general, the counter to this tactic is patience. I find that being patient in Legion is one of the most difficult things to do. If you can get a good sense of where the bombs are likely to come down, just step away and take a bunch of standbys. This puts the pressure back on your opponent to decide if they want to trigger the standby storm to get the bombs in the most ideal place.

So you can deploy things in transports? Does that work with the imperial tank?

Yup! Deploying Snowtroopers or Vader in the tank has crossed my mind more than once!

Can start a game with a unit inside a transport or does it have to wait till the game starts to use an action to enter the vehicle?

Yes you could do it with the tank, but I don’t think it would be as effective. Bossk lacks Jump and Sabine’s strong save, making him less ideal to get right up in the center of the board at the start of the game.

@@TeamRelentless would it be an option to play bosk 2 pip to get out on turn 2? Im only considering this because i play against clone 80% of the time and the poisen tokens are really strong on them aditionally there are so grouped up with their token sharing so you would be able to hit 4 most of the time

Poison on Clones is indeed super great. But also, you’ll have a hard time getting that close to them because of the standby sharing shenanigans. Pierce is nearly as good against Clones as poison, so I think you’d be better off plinking away at range 4 and saving MM for diving in on an objective late in the game if applicable. But is it possible to turn 1 MM and turn 2 RR to safety? I’d go with “maybe.” I mean I didn’t think this turn 1 Explosions business was going to work and shocked myself so if it’s something you’re curious about you should for sure try it out.
