The Playboy of the Western World is the sixth play by Irish playwright, John Millington Synge. It was first performed in the year 1907 at Abbey Theatre, Dublin. This play tells the story of a young peasant boy, Christy Mahon, who claims to have killed his own father. And surprisingly, he gains respect by doing so!
