There are quite a few players that can match the techinical innovations of Maradona and Pele - the difference is they didn't have the top level elite career of those more considered in the football world. BTW, Diego was young when he made that observation, so calm it down 'a lot', lol. It'; also clear to any real fan with two eyes that someone could be as good skills -wise but no one was better technically - just watch Maradona in training to 100% realise this!

Pele was from another time, where futbol was not as glamorous or skilled as it was when this guys came along, I bet both maradona and magico in their prime, would run circles around pele in his prime, but still respect pele, but pele wouldn't have gotten far if he was in their era, he didn't want to play in Europe because he knew he wouldn't be great so he went to what USL, NY Cosmos, I mean yea I guess, but he knew he wouldn't have been good enough for Europe, magico, didn't go to psg simply because he didn't spoke French, so he went on to play in Spain 2nd division with Cadiz, where he not only got them out of 2nd division and moved them to 1st division, but defeated Barcelona, Real Madrid, Athletico D Madrid, basically defeated the entire Spain league with a newly 1st division team, where he went on to play for Barcelona where he stood out even with maradona in the pitch, magico stole the show maradona had form for himself, magico out shined him, that maradona left spain to play in France Napoli, then magico was to careless and didn't really care about the money, magico engraved his name amongst the greatest players of all time
