Marvellous!!! Thanks Dave for yet another stunning video. I especially enjoyed some of the low angle shots, in particular those around 14.00. Life is now on hold as I eagerly await the next video :-) Cheers, Bob

Superb, thank you for letting us share. All wonderful but I particularly like the Q1 and the grotty culvert!

Nigel Braithwaite I have never seen a Q1 before in O gauge, and it did look impressive I admit. Thank you for the comment.

Excellent video as always Dave, the guys who do the scenery are real masters of the art, wonderful reproduction of details points. Unusual to see a Q1 in action and the realistic sounds off the "Austerity" 2-8-0. The motion clank and steam off the valves are just as I remember them clanking past on a rake of iron ore hoppers - usually in pairs it has to be said. A great watch and thanks for sharing it! Best wishes. Ken

Ken Browne Thank you for your your comment Ken, and it seems the video has stirred the memory. I also lived alongside a railway with WD's going up and down all day, wish I had a camera then. Very pleased you enjoyed the video, and I will pass on your comment to the guy's regards the scenery.

Dave, despite your concerns and caveats, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I hadn't previously appreciated the lengths of trains that you can run, nor the complexity of track-work and even the cant on some of the rails. It really is an inspirational model and I am so grateful that we can all share in it due to your efforts with the videos. If only the signals were working :-)

1952TonyC This is an issue I have the most complaints about, and I hope you realise this is beyond my control. Les Fram who can only get on Thursdays is the main man for that, and as there a lots more issues other than the signals to attend to, it is an ongoing process. But...in time it will be done. He has installed brand new up to date control boxes and controls, the signals in turn will be connected. I hope everyone understands this is a 160' x 72' layout, and is a very complex layout....so these thing do take time, and cannot be done overnight. Thank you for your comment and continued interest in my videos.

Andrew Clayton That is very kind of you Andrew. You know, I have to travel some 66 miles there (and the same back), over the Pennines as well. I do all this simply because I enjoy video editing in my retirement. I do not receive any payment....nor do I want any, as I enjoy the company....the filming and the nice comments from my postings. For a lot of people these videos are as close anyone are able to get to see this magnificent layout, and that pleases me when I get positive comments.

Loved the video, especially that new viewpoint at the 18 minute mark. No dislikes yet (although I did spot the first derailment I've ever seen on this layout). Thanks for posting

mpeterll Thank you for your comment, and of course pleased you enjoyed the video. I have missed that derailment, I usually edit them out....so well spotted.

Hi Dave superb video despite the problems,can I ask if you haven't already done it but could you do if possible a complete tour of the layout just so I can understand the actual size of the layout and locations of scenery. Cheers Kev

Does the layout have any Hyper-elevated turns on it, Dave?
@DaveCooper36b9 жыл бұрын
+Martin Ward : We don't seem to understand your question Martin, could you put that is a different context please.
@martw52919 жыл бұрын
or is it Super-Elevated, so the turn would be cambered a small amount
@DaveCooper36b9 жыл бұрын
+Martin Ward : Yes there are gradients and some slight cambers on the layout, it was intentional when constructing the layout that it would NOT be flat. Hope this answers your question Martin.

The Poachers I bet have a field day visiting and running Locos at Pete Watermans , as for the thumbs down its some idiots out there that seem to enjoy doing that on model railway videos , I get them regular along with a few others who also show model railway layouts ...Dave
@DaveCooper36b9 жыл бұрын
***** You are right, the poachers have been regulars to Pete's for a long time now. He loves them coming as he knows he doesn't have to do anything, they completely take over the layout with some magnificent model locos. I am sorry you suffer with the you-tube troll as well, I suppose you have to have one!! Thank you for your comment David....appreciated.
@phil46079 жыл бұрын
Dave< I have noticed that very few of the locos have lamps. All my 00 locos have working lamps and Sound some have smoke, None of the gaurds vans have lamps too. As a member of Liverpool MRS would it be possable to arrange a club visit to Lemmington Spa. ?? www.lmrs.org.uk/
@DaveCooper36b9 жыл бұрын
+Phil Garner : The reply from Pete Waterman is there is a rule: No crew...no lamps....no people on platforms or anywhere else. As for visits, he has a full calendar for the next two years, so sorry about that.
