1) it's not a stain remover it's an ultra sonic cleaner, like the ones used for cleaning jewelry, it's designed to break up the everyday soiling a shirt gets, not stains. 2) placing an ultra sonic device above the object to be cleaned pointing away from the object in a massive tub of water larger than the ultrasonic device is designed to use is pretty certain to get failure results 3) ultrasonic cleaners use cleaning soaps designed for their method of cleaning, not any standard soap. (which honestly is a drawback in my mind from the getgo) and certainly not in those quantities. 4) who leaves the giant gobs of condiments on the shirt? rub it in, rinse it and then clean it. you just made an ultrasonic mustard and ketchup soup. but frankly at least you took a look at it. It's just unfortunate that I'll have to wait for somebody else to actually test the thing to get real answers,or run some tests myself.
@RovingJack
@RovingJack 8 жыл бұрын
wow your evidence is totally convincing./sarcasm. Ultra sonic cavitation is actually real,it's used in labratories and industry regularly. It's achievable on a small scale like this, it's viable as a method of cleaning things in a household sink. Whether this is in fact such a device is not answered by this demonstration. Thank you for your internet expertise. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultrasonic_cleaning
@RovingJack
@RovingJack 8 жыл бұрын
the fact that this demonstration does thing the would make a functional unit not work properly is not a supposition that this unit works or is desired. It's just a statement of unreliable data about whether or not the unit does anything. The point of the device as proposed is not one of easier to use but instead one of having a portable option and low water and power usage options for situations of inaccessibility to more standard cleaning equipment. It is not a concept without viable application, nor is it a concept without a basis in scientific possibility. The only thing lacking here is demonstration of having achieved it, either by the device, or by the clumbsy 'test' done here.

Sometimes I use an industrial ultrasonic cleaner to remove stains from clothing, it works great. The device should be facing the T-shirt or even better under it, and the size of the container was huge for that size of unit. By the way it can be used to clean almost everything, dish washer would be a lot more effective than tide, and less is more just need a few drops

First time I feel bad for the product, you did everything wrong here ... 1. It's pointing the wrong way!!! 2. You have to use the soap tablet 3. It's 30, not 20 minutes 4. The container should be smaller 5. Made for dirt, smell and small spots

@everythingzone
@everythingzone 8 жыл бұрын
Their Indiegogo clearly states that it's made for washing when traveling. Would not say this is a "piece of shit" for someone who travels a lot. Campingvans and tents normally don't have washing machines included.
@everythingzone
@everythingzone 8 жыл бұрын
Because unlike you, some people like clean underware and t-shirts that don't smell. Also, water is a great solvent. Not that you would know what that even means, for you it only means - wet.
@natecole123456
@natecole123456 8 жыл бұрын
everythingzone There's already multiple alternatives to this, that work much better. Its a piece of shit. Campingvans? Why the fuck would some one be washing inside their van, that's why people bring extra clothes idiot. Tents? A mini portable washer, and again normal people usually bring enough clothing that they don't need to wash while traveling lmao. I'm an avid traveler, Ill never use this, it take 10 minutes and some change at a wash in the area that will actually clean your stuff.

In an emergency type situation where ya just need to freshen shirts, pants and or underwear up (no stains) - heck you could do better just swishing your clothes in a sink with detergent for about 10 to 15 minutes.., then air dry. So no - I will save my money. LoL. In y opinion this pocket washer is just a gizmo made to sell and thats all.
@littilwood
@littilwood 6 жыл бұрын
People talk about an emergency situation, but like, how do you dry it? It's an emergency, and you gotta get going! Even if you can get it washed, you'd still have to dry it somehow.
@littilwood
@littilwood 5 жыл бұрын
Connor G uhm, no, the purpose is that you don’t have access to the equipment, so that’s portable. Where you gonna conjure the dryer? Air dry in 20 minutes, or are you gonna sneak into a McDonald’s restroom and use the hand dryer? But it’s great that you think I’M the dumbass XD

you are right, if you have an unsafe, kinda fake product from China with a power cord on one end & a usb outlet in another 'just for extra convenience', often one of the polarities is directly linked to mains (with just a resistor as a voltage dropper) so yeah, even though the fact that usb outlets only ought to be t volts (and thus should be safe even if this thing would leak electricity, which it might do when it is only designed for t volts) in reality there still is a risk you can electrocute yourself with it be cause of the fact there are usb outlets out there that have potentiality fatal flaws

heh, my wife was trash talking you throughout this entire video. First, putting Mustard on the shirts was insane. A commercial washing machine and any detergent you choose won't get that out. Then you put in way too much soap, and you didn't even hold it over the water tub and made a mess?! The tub was too big. Should have used a round bucket and less water and put the device in first so it's on the bottom. This thing is for freshening up clothes that are a normal level of daily wear dirty. Not hipster stink dirty, but regular in the clothes hamper because you wore it to the office dirty. It appears to be a combination of a water pump (to circulate the water and soap) and an ultrasonic transducer to break up and release "dirt" from the material which is valid engineering. There are commercial washers that use ultrasonics and it's a proven technology. I'd like to see a real test of this thing. Wear a shirt for a day, take it to work the next day. Have coworkers smell test it. Wash it as I said, in a smaller bucket with a teaspoon of soap and the device on the bottom. Then hand rinse, hang dry, and let your coworkers smell test it again and rate the clean.
