I didn't like it that much tbh. Loved the music but I think 3 was better (the one most think was the worst one). Taggert didn't seem like the same character to me, he was just kind of a dick in the movie. I also didn't care for Kevin Bacons performance, it was more about the script than him though, I'm a fan of his. I think I'm in the minority but I was a little disappointed. Eddie needs to bring back his fantastic laugh as well. I read he stopped doing it because he didn't want it to be his "thing". Eddie is funny af and he would never be known for just his funny laugh imo but it was the choice he made and I wish he hadn't. I didn't hate the movie and I'm glad they made it, just was a little disappointed. Now I'm rambling, sorry. ✌️✝️

True. tho the songs of that moment in history sounded joyful on the surface ,they were recorded at a time when the arts and the music industry in particular was being decimated by AIDS. The Reagan White House not only had been mute on the topic, even as HIV. seemingly singled out minority and (already ) underserved. communities. Add in the crack epidemic. deteriorating cities , and the advent of the. archetype " The Welfare Queen " and. an out of control. unregsistered hand gun hand gun "Saturday Night Specials " and there was no shortage of demand for diversions in the inner cities in America . Big. tunes .Big Hair . Big Truck Scenes. are sometimes required to get past a deeply painful day to day. The Sisters really rose to the task . I'm sorry they are gone This was a personal favorite . +Doug in San Diego Well I should have said underrated as far as black folks go. I never hear any of us give them props or hear them on the classic old school R & B stations where I live, never. I hear more one hit wonders on the radio than I do any of their songs. So my bad definitely not underrated overall.

Loved Eddie Murphy growing up as now a 39 year old, I look back to his 80`s era with a smile. Always cheers me up seeing his films from then now. His cocky, smiley, energy plus the laugh of course! Always great sound tracks to that give you a lift.

Everything about this video makes me miss the 80s SO BAD 🥹 I was 14 that year. Another phenomenal reminder the awesomeness that was 1984, for music and for movies. Yes kids, it was this fun (despite the fear of nuclear annihilation). This song just makes you wanna get up and dance! I recognize the actor who is the head usher
