Lyrics:
I don't want to take it anymore
I'll just stay here locked behind the door
Just no time to stop and get away
'Cause I work so hard to make it every day
Whoo oooh
Whoo oooh
There's no money falling from the sky
'Cause a man took my heart and robbed me blind
Someone stole my brand new Chevrolet
And the rent is due, I got no place to stay

I didn't like it that much tbh. Loved the music but I think 3 was better (the one most think was the worst one). Taggert didn't seem like the same character to me, he was just kind of a dick in the movie. I also didn't care for Kevin Bacons performance, it was more about the script than him though, I'm a fan of his. I think I'm in the minority but I was a little disappointed. Eddie needs to bring back his fantastic laugh as well. I read he stopped doing it because he didn't want it to be his "thing". Eddie is funny af and he would never be known for just his funny laugh imo but it was the choice he made and I wish he hadn't. I didn't hate the movie and I'm glad they made it, just was a little disappointed. Now I'm rambling, sorry. ✌️✝️

@@keithk1559 yeah, three was absolutely horrible. But four iwasn’t a whole lot better. No point for Taggart and Rosewood to be doing anything. And they both looked terrible. And I heard they are already working on part five!

@@logicalblackman8228 Eddie looked pretty good considering but Rosewoods eyes were looking in one direction but his face in another! I actually found that a weird distraction. Obviously had some work done and Taggart, 75 making the movie hasn't aged well I'm afraid.

True. tho the songs of that moment in history sounded joyful on the surface ,they were recorded at a time when the arts and the music industry in particular was being decimated by AIDS. The Reagan White House not only had been mute on the topic, even as HIV. seemingly singled out minority and (already ) underserved. communities. Add in the crack epidemic. deteriorating cities , and the advent of the. archetype " The Welfare Queen " and. an out of control. unregsistered hand gun hand gun "Saturday Night Specials " and there was no shortage of demand for diversions in the inner cities in America . Big. tunes .Big Hair . Big Truck Scenes. are sometimes required to get past a deeply painful day to day. The Sisters really rose to the task . I'm sorry they are gone This was a personal favorite . RIP Anita,June. and Bonnie

R.I.P., Anita Pointer. When I heard this in grade school, I just thought it was a great pop song to go along with Beverly Hills Cop. Years later, after looking at the lyrics, I couldn't believe the desperation that was in so much of this song. This is probably the catchiest song ever written about someone who is stressed to the breaking point.

One of my biggest regrets in life is never getting to see these talented beautiful ladies in concert. I suppose I could have, but back then I was too stupid to appreciate such wonderful music though I always have loved Slow Hand. It just amazes me how right this song is for the time we're living in, despite it initially being written for the cold war era. Maybe we're not as close to midnight hour now as we were then, but just as the song says, it's hard to say just how some things never change.
