You know you've got REAL TALENT when you sing the song LIVE better than you do on the record. The Pointer sisters dont get enough recognition! RIP to June, Bonnie and Anita...we all better give Ruth her flowers while we still can.

I don't know about you my fellow human beings but I just feel in love, when I watch this. Audio and visual quality of the film, means nothing here, perhaps it even adds to the experience of the ambience. The beauty, talent, the dyninanism, their love for performing (and acting), their attitude, the human and personal presence they put on. The show they create to us (and for us), what's coming from them and this production: one just feels loved, and one wants to love them back (only one can't leaving so instead there's so much potential energy).....it's simply amazing how good they are.

I think that the pointer sisters have had the most energy and the best vocals of any other female artist. They have been very famous, but I still think they have been underrated. Great musical talent there!

RIP June Baby Sister Pointer you are missed. The sisters shows are so professional and the band is always tight giving their best 40 years later...Waiting for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to honor these beautiful ladies no other female group has ever charted on Pop, Dance, Soul and Country...You Heard.....Ruth, Anita, Bonnie and the late June Pointer no others can match their talent...

Respond to this video... Ya know what is also amazing to me is to watch how June just busted out and grew into the strong lead singer she became. She seemed so shy when they first broke. Her presence and confidence was so outstanding after the group reformed as trio. It must still be so painful for Anita and Ruth to watch these clips. Los

To date there is NO other female vocal trio that can ever hope to match the energy, love and masterful execution of music that The Sisters possess. Decade after decade the element of surprise is unequaled. I always enjoyed the inspirational side of the group. So much so that I borrowed "Special Things" for my own show years ago. Any chance of a clip of "We're Gonna Make It"? Much love and thanks to whoever downloaded this for the world. Sincerely, Los NYC

The best and still sounds wonderful, Ruth and Anita have really taken care of their bodies and voices. Many artist of the 70's and 80's did not take care of their voices and their concerts are not very entertaining because they sound so different in most cases two or three keys lower...Not the case with the sisters

I'm sorry but Anita has the best voice; HOWEVER I'm glad all of them took turns singing leads, because no matter how wonderful Anita is? She couldn't have done to her sisters Ruth and June (The same as Diana Ross did to Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson) besides, I don't think June and Ruth would not have taken it anyways =D
@orane35495 жыл бұрын
Anita has a beautiful voice but it cannot match June's. June could hit notes that Anita couldn't. Just listen to them trying to sing the songs June had lead on. They don't even come close.

@@orane3549 I was literally about to correct rioboy13 with more or less the same comment, but Orane covered every base, of course. You sure you're an Aquarius, and not a LEO? You seem VERY Leo-ish, in the best possible way.
@MichelleAngela4 жыл бұрын
I agree that musically, June has the biggest range and can hit higher notes without problem (and does it incredibly). Same goes for Ruth and her contralto. But in my opinion, I also agree that Anita has the best and most beautiful voice. I love her powerful style and every time she sings lead, it just touches my heart like no other.
@kidmusic283 жыл бұрын
I do not (totally) agree with you. I think Anita’s voice reflects her personality a lot. What I mean by that is that her voice is very stable. You could always count on Anita to deliver. She is a rock. Anita’s voice is also very “pop/girlish”. I think that’s why record executives and producers would have made her the lead vocalist if they would not have been sisters. June had a very versatile voice but it was sometimes very unstable. Especially in the later years of her career. I think record executives would have made her the second vocalist (the Kelly Rowland) of the group if they would not have been sisters.
@kidmusic283 жыл бұрын
By the way I love Ruth her voice. Ruth’s voice has a deep gospel sound. Listen to the song Going Down Slowly, love it 🤗. If they would not have been sisters, producers/executives wouldn’t have given Ruth any lead songs simply because she’s an alto. Alto lead vocalists are extremely rare. In popular music people love to hear a “pop/girly” voice and not a deep gospel sound.
