When the train begins to depart, you can see the motion of the engine move slowly before yanking backward a bit-causing a chain reaction of bumping before the cars actually move. That's a really nice detail as an animator and train fanatic.

I love all the sounds that PM 1225 makes; The clanging bell and loud whistle, the whining and clanking of her iron and steel parts, as well as the wheeshing of steam makes it seem like this giant machine was really and truly alive with a mind of it's own. The way 1225 was presented in this movie just goes to show that all steam engines have a unique majesty of their own. It's one of the many reasons why I love this movie.

I can't believe that it's been 20 years since the magical christmas movie came out and now fast forward to 20 years later warner bros has just announced that the polar express 2 is happening again and now it is happening with the return of the incredible tom hanks who portrayed all the characters he played with other people he was with now with the polar express 2 making another sequel I am so very excited to see the return of a new christmas sequel it is going to be more of a magical christmas holiday and I cannot wait to see the next Christmas movie when it comes very very soon.
