The Police RENEWED - Spirits in the Material World (FYYC's Extended Remix & Special Video)

A new one! A fairly catchy song in the original version but, in my opinion, sometimes a bit too monotonous and also too short! I think the bridge is a magical moment that deserves some repetition in a remix. Moreover, there are later versions that also added some nice elements to the original. You can hear them again in this extended and mixed up version. Thanks to Dominic Miller for being (partially) the 4th police officer! :-) I hope that with all those small changes I have given the song a nice new dynamic, without abandoning the continuous ska rhythm from the original.
The video was, just like the song actually, composed from fragments that can be found here and there on the internet. But of course everything had to be carefully re-arranged and edited. As always I'm very curious what you think about it. So please let me know!!!
And last but not least, ultimately this is all for a greater purpose. If our protagonist(s) ever listen to this: come on guys, especially Sting, the years are seriously starting to count, so surprise the world, break the myth of The Police as a closed legend, visit your old friends, conquer the demons of the past, and do what many people worldwide don't expect, but are really waiting for: rearrange a few of each other's solo songs, give each other some space and it's done: THAT DAMNED SIXTH POLICE ALBUM!
And yes, don't be a copycat from this audio remix version and video collage. Enjoy!

I grew up with the Police. As a drummer and composer of over 30 years, myself, I have to offer my complete respect for this whimsical, psychedelic and airy take on this masterpiece of an original track. I can't even determine how you managed all of the extra musical embellishments. This is art. Hats off. Very happy that you popped into my feed. About to check out Tea in the Sahara, which is a track that I hold very dear to my heart. Based on this rework, I am excited. Thank you!

I disagree - the Police were legendary, but Sting on his own wrote stuff that wouldn't have fitted the Police as a band. English Man In New York, Seven Days, Fields of Gold, Fragile - none of these were Police records. Sting did alright out of it. No mistake.

Nobody likes seeing a band especially one you like, end, but Synchronicity was the ultimate crescendo to their run. How do you match or top an album like that? Even if they found a way to get along, I’m not sure we would get music we would enjoy.

@@DameTremonti Time shows more and more clearly that Sting's solo career is mediocre. Simply boring. The songs recorded with The Police are timeless. Sting had the spark but Copeland and Summers were better musicians. When you listen to English Man in NY or Fragile.... you just can't. C'mon.
