The Polish chainsaw part V... or how to lose a finger

Good morning sir. Thats a pretty slick lil saw. I have a few gas powered stihls from when I worked in avtree service. Obviously i prefer the power n speed of a gas saw, but those electric saws start right up n go. Really like all the saw safetys especially how the chain stops n motor free sookls Down. Hate safety chain, but yhsts probably all they make for that model. The number in the back of the bar is the replacement bat n chain. Yiu can probably cross reference it in Amazon n get something cheaper when you use up the chain

Yeah that saw is very safe as the chain stops spinning instantly that black plastic guard us pushed forward.. an easy operation two handed ! Stihl is a great make and they are available here.. but they are professional saws.. and I am just chopping fire wood ! lol

@@JimTimber welcome sir. I worked that job for 7-8 years n was only cut twice. Once the chain hung a branch n derailed. It hit my thigh but only cut w 1 tooth. The second was my wrist because the crew didn't lower the branch I cut n it pushed the saw back at me. Got my hand up out of reflex n got nipped a little. B Very blessed it wasn't worse.

@@JimTimber thanks Andy. I'm just Tom. Treat a saw like it's a living thing intent on hurting you. People that are timid around saws don't get hurt..it's when you get complacent is when you get messed up.

Thanks for showing us how to use it. My dad usually cuts the wood with the chainsaw. I help by splitting it with a log splitter. It’s much easier than using an axe but it’s a good workout lifting wood hundreds of times to place it in the splitter especially if it’s from a big tree.

I can take him to the vets.. he's such a fat little carpet ..I can't carry him ten miles innit !! ..feckin Commandos can add that to their strife and trouble !! lol ..not ever a feckin 59 year old man would carry a dog that weighs more than my ex wife.. down the lane.. Poor Jimmy! Otis will end up getting kennel cough twice a year from licking too many pee spots on our walks...he is just obsessed with it. But anyway, there is a home remedy that I have come upon...I add some melted coconut oil and shake a bit of cinnamon with him food...seems to help. Keep those fingers mate!!
