I think the most interesting aspect is that this episode closed a loop that has existed since the cmc were introduced. It was Diamond Tiara's cruel teasing that gave them the inspiration to form the Cutie Mark Crusaders in the first place. It is very fitting that she would play a pivotal role in the conclusion of that journey. If helping another pony understand their special talent was all it took for them to get their marks they would have received them when they helped Trouble Shoes realize his potential.

Personally, I'm kinda meh about their marks. It'll be cool to see the CMC's new adventures as counselors, but I definitely enjoyed Diamond's story a lot more. I've always imagined her to wantto be someone else due to the constant pressure of high society, but Inever expected them to make an episode out of that!

+YTMLP Considering it's been 5 years for the CMC to get to this point, it's a bit significant as far as story is concerned. Diamond Tiara's redemption wasn't even necessary. Our fave trio could have helped anypony. Remember Trouble Shoes?

+YTMLP Diamond Tiara's redemption is what made the episode for me. Don't get me wrong, I liked that the CMC got their Cutie Marks, but I enjoyed seeing the reason behind Diamond's behaviour and her new friendship with the CMC much more. I was nearly in tears when Diamond started singing The Pony I Want To Be. It was so sad and she has such a beautiful singing voice. I think this episode is my new all time favourite for the entire series. I've re-watched it 6 times already and I never do that.

as soon as i heard this in the show I foresaw such an awesome track like this. this song was such an instant classic as soon as i heard it. with the solid lyrics and the memorable melody, for me, it ranks up there with winter wrap up, and This day. not gonna lie, but this mix is way better than simgretina's. it feels like much more effort was put into this one and yet it still holds a sad vibe to it. Sims made it a little too uplifting and simple with the beat. was generic and and lazy compared to his others. I still like Sims, but I love yours much much more. hope you make more tunes. wish you were around the beginning of the fandom.

this song really shows alot of what i hate about the world. there are so many expectations placed on us and we never get gratification, we never get a reason to keep moving on, and we can never really escape these feelings. religion can distract you to how pointless life is and can give the hope for an escape, ignorance is bliss i guess. it reminds me of the AI who played tetris and logicly decided the only winning move is to pause the game and never resume, the only winning move in life is to stop playing, or never be born in the first place. of course neither of those options are a valid choice so i guess live on, right?
