Just to respond to the question at 6:11, witchcraft wasn't real, however people believed it was very much so. The belief of witches in England peaked in 1604 when the King (James I) passed a new law against witches, this spread fear amongst many people, and thus was the birth of the demise of anyone with warts, skin defects ect in belief she was a witch.
