This is the best presentation of Lamu port that I have ever seen. I have been following the construction and launching of the port, and as a Kenyan, I am now satisfied and proud that our development in maritime commerce has reached an important milestone. This is a government project; it is a project of the people of Kenya. I am sure and believe that every regime which will come, will push and actualize the progress of the Port of Lamu.

lappset was kibakis dream, vision and plan in his last term as part of vision 2030 he actually structured the whole project including financing but his time was up ..so uhuru just implemented because kibakis term came to end.. but if we are honest uhuru killed the kenyan economy he handed over a very weak economy with no meaningful job creation opportunities compared to what kibaki handed over to him .. uhuru is the worst president out the 4 .....

Looks like this port is being underutilized. Why is it so empty yet it looks well equipped and complete? It should be teeming with action already so that it proves its worth. The priority of the Kenyan government right now should be on fast-tracking the construction of tarmacked road network to link Kenya to Ethiopia and South Sudan. The government should also guarantee security in Lamy and its environs to woo investors to the port of Lamu.
