Once you get married, your priority is no longer your siblings and parents, but your own family. If you have extra, it is nice to help them but your spouse needs to know and needs to agree. Especially if it's his/her money you are giving away.

I've been thinking lately how people often use their niceness as a way to be highly manipulative. This is a perfect example. Carla isn't nice - she's manipulative. When people feel intuitively suspicious of her deceitful behaviour - she buys them things. Really important to be wary of this kind of behaviour.
