As someone who is learning to speak Portuguese and who also trained as a luthier, this video was very interesting! Thank you!

Very interesting indeed . Can I suggest you allow the comments in the circle to stay on screen longer . ? When trying to read subtitles at the Same time ..there is not enough time to absorb what you are saying …at least for my brain …. Otherwise …Great content and nicely presented .

@@GOWalksPortugal Thank you - my Portuguese is very basic - i liked the format - of your thoughts but i just couldn’t keep up - my limitation! Hope I didn’t offend you. I have only managed to get to Albufeira? Algarve area. I fell in love with Fado and the Portuguese guitar when I came across Cristina Branco while I was travelling in Germany. I plan to go to LIsbon and Coimbra next year . Ive been struggling to. Appreciate the differences between the two models. Your video was the first time I gained a better insight into the construction, scale length, tunings and explanation of the different playing styles of the two areas. Very informative - Renewed my interest again - so thank you.

No way, thanks for your comment - I didn't get offended. Any constructive criticism is welcome. Since I can't do much about the videos I have already published, I suggest that you stop the video if you have trouble reading it. I know Cristina Branco very well - the pianist that usually performs with her is my neighbor and we have friends in common 😉💚 take a look to his work, he is incredible: Luís Figueiredo. Let me know when you come here! If you need a guide, I will be available (I hope eheh)! Stay in touch and enjoy the rest of my videos 😊 I will be editing more very soon!

@@GOWalksPortugal Well, that is astonishing. Thank you for kind offer. Yes, I was in a music store in Dusseldorf Germany and was listening to a range of world music. I put on double CD set "Post Scriptum and Murmurios". I was stunned . I couldnt move. I listened to the whole set (shop not happy) and bought the collection . I went through a phase of falling asleep at night to these CDS - wonderful. I was particularly drawn to "Lirios" on the second CD . I was fortunate enough to see her on her first UK venue in Bournemouth. It was a small theatre set up like a cafe scene for the audience - very memorable. I met her after the concert which was a big pleasure. I was there in the town to find a mandolin from a well known dealer. I am currently looking at a mandolin in the shape of Portuguese guitar. However, I dont want to buy a Portuguese guitar online for the reasons covered in your video. I was talking to my brother in Brazil today when your message came though. We discussed my travelling to Portugal - for me it could be Before Xmas , in the new year or March/April . I am quire flexible. Is your pianist neighbour the original one who toured with Cristina when she came to UK ? I am in awe that you know Cristina - what an artist and lovely person. At the moment I am reading a Fado Portuguese song book edited by Donald Cohen,. Many pics of Amalia of course and Lisbon. I will look at Luis Figueiredo this evening. I hope we can find a way of keeping in touch . It is such a big pleasure to chat with you - even more so , now that I see the connection . Wow. Amazing.

Tudo a correr bem!
