𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭 - Barry Bennett is a graduate of Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. He and his wife, Betty Kay, spent almost twelve years on the mission field in Mexico, Guatemala, and Chile. Barry came to Andrew Wommack Ministries in 2007 and worked on the Helpline as a prayer minister before accepting a position answering the scriptural and doctrinal questions that would come to the ministry via mail and email. Barry later went on to be the dean of students and now serves as a senior instructor at Charis Bible College Woodland Park.

We almost arrived in heaven around the same time. In 2020 I was in the hospital with acute pancreatitis, in a coma, on a ventilator, and dying. My pancreas was destroying itself. In my unconscious state, I knew I was dying and God spoke to me and told me He was sending me back to finish the work He has for me. My journey now is learning about God's love and goodness for me.

Jesus was asleep in the stern. Looked up what the "stern" is and learned it was the back of the boat. Then I found this: "Why is the back of a boat called a stern? It originated with the Old Norse word 'styra', (to steer) which became 'stjorn' (steering) becoming 'styrne' in Old English and thence 'stern' in Middle English. The connection is that the stern is where a ship was steered from in the days of sail." Seems to me that Jesus was steering, in a sense, even though He was asleep.

? We have to be careful about adding to or stretching Scripture until it meets our thinking. It doesn't say He was steering the boat. The fact that He was sleeping is the reason they thought He didn't care.

@@lindashea8007Had they not woke up Jesus would the waves have overtaken them? No the waves would not have, so in a sense, God was most certainly steering that boat. That’s why Jesus was mad because he was like o ye of little faith? Bc he was tired and had faith that he didn’t have to command those waves in order for them to stay upright. I think OP is spot on.
