Yeah I restarted MH Rise on ps5, and I used to use all the elemental weapons and optimal builds on switch. But in this playthrough, I'm MR70 and have beaten all the added monsters other than risen elders... I haven't even felt the need to swap off the gaismagorm longsword. I can still get attack boost 7 with hitting max affinity through various skills and fighter Palico's rousing roar. Even have max wirebug whisperer, and room for evade extender and burst and bloodlust. I'm probably gonna build a bunch of status and elemental weapons but they really don't feel necessary.

There is something that should be appreciated about these people. They are in fact speed runners, but the pure skill needed for these MH fights is always insane. Great work, keeping hunting!

what is the trick with barrel bombs to get your spirit gauge up so fast? Ive been using the sakura silkbind to get charges but you get them like 100x faster.

@@fearnovirgin994 no thats frostcraft. Its from velkanha Set. When your Welpen is sheathed, the Bar fills up. There are 4 stages, and the higher the stage, the more %damage you Deal. Its very strong on ls and gs especially

When the longsword counters something, or uses certain moves, the sword meter changes from white, yellow, and then red The closer to red it is, the bigger the damage boost Afterwards he spends all of the meter on a big move for max damage and then uses bombs to charge it back to red quickly

Haven't fought Gaismagorm yet but it seems... easy? Idk just the fact that it's attacks are so long-range that most of the time they go over your Hunter and the fact that he doesn't seem to attack much.

Of all the videos you could say this on, are you really saying this on a speed run video? Like c'mon man, it's fine to not like Rise as a game but making a verdict on an entire game (and it's expansion) on a 3 minute clip that's obviously using an optimized endgame set is just silly.

Gen 5 armor skills and decos aren't so OP that they invalidate the skill of a hunter? World is the game that was built off of 4U's formula and is the much more "traditional" Monster Hunter game, Rise is the portable game that tried to make a different experience entirely.

What do you mean? He's attacking the monster, it's just that his build is optimized for damage for the sacred sheathe move causing crazy high damage which staggers and topples the monster whenever he lands the level 3 sacred sheathe. And his tempered spirit blade counters are nothing to scoff at. It's just a case of Longsword being OP utilized by a highly skilled endgame player.
