The Power Of Copper - Scrapping power adapters for copper

Power adapters have transformers in them, and you know what transformers hold.....
that's right, copper!
well, sometimes aluminium but not in power adapters as far as I know.
Nice quick way to get a little bit of copper to add to your hoard.

I separate the fins as well. They are great metal for making ferrous sulfate for precipitating gold.

The different thickness is how the change the amount of windings which in turn allows the unit to change the voltage

Stop using the screw driver to Crack open the plastic. It's slowing you down. Use the other side of the hammer to Crack them open. Way faster.

the small transformer are not worth taking apart, there not enough copper to make a Penny ,, lol

i have take a few them apart, its like 1 layer wire then paper then another layer wire , and its tiny Wire, but then again if its free then its all $$$ in your pocket @@ScrappingScotland
