what a wonderful, wise and warm-hearted speech. If only more religious leaders, or leaders in general could have that thinking. Instead of spreading hate and separation, and so so much ignorance. I hope the his holiness will live many more years, to make this world a little better and inspire the people who listen to his words.

This video touched me deeply. It is always a huge comfort in my life to hear this great man speak. He truly speaks from the heart and shares with all of us, all who are willing to listen, he offers gifts of love and understanding. I find myself struggling with my own demons lately and feel very much alone and lost at times.

I read about most of this in His Holiness' The Art of Happiness. I think in the Book of Joy he mentioned about this Irish shooting incident. And now I see the gentlemen involved in this act of love and forgiveness that healed. So blessed. And loved that song by the angelic children. This is one of the best of His Holiness' teaching videos on YT.

His Holiness says Richard Moore is his hero whose life and work is the epitome of forgiveness. His Holiness also asked us in Limerick that day to remember we are all the same, simply equal. He further advised us not to get too close to our beliefs if we are to retain objectivity. Fantastic guidelines for living.

Drummerguy you are not alone even though it may feel that way at times. I feel the same way you do, as do millions of others of sentient beings who live on this earth. We are all united in our suffering. What gives me comfort is knowing this. At least we are in the lucky postion of being able to listen to these comforting words. Bless you my friend xxxxx

Forgiveness is an area where many of us can use a lot of work-it is critically important, yet many of us are not very good at forgiveness and are unfortunately not in the habit of forgiving. Yet, forgiving is one of the most important tools in terms of creating a fulfilled life. The realm of forgiveness is a sanctuary for knowing love. First, we need to forgive ourselves for all the times we couldn’t overcome challenges.

Absolutely amazing speech, in modern day we have lost control of our own selves and forgotten the greatness we are when we open our hearts and minds to the world. To much outside forces today instead of just being ourselves with compassion and love upon the world around us, to make the lives of all better then just ourselves is the way to a great world. I hope someday we can find ourselves as human beings again and to be open to all those.

Wow, thatz called HH Dalai Lama's power of love and affection! Sounds great because Geert Bus sounds Theist, whereas HH Dalai Lama is Atheist (but still religious) . . . . Whats important here is a Theist person is also a well-wisher of an Atheist person ! . . . . We need this kind of world . . . . . Regards

Basic human values is what this world is missing, help those on the path with your light. This is what brings us toghther and back to the human village raising the child. Generations will pass before this is understood but we still need to show that light in dark times. Thank you for showing me the path.

Forgiveness continues to be misunderstood, but the Dali Lama helps us come closer to understanding. Forgiveness is not about saying the wrongs we may have suffered are unimportant; it is not about taking care of the wrong doer's feelings; it is about releasing the anger and resentment and desires for vengeance that diminish the quality and possibility of the person who has already suffered injury. It is part of healing and reclaiming fullness of life rather than being defined by injury.
