Such a simple idea, but so radical! Temptation as a spiritual workout. Wow. Thanks Kris.

Wow. That's exactly what God opened my eyes to when I started seeking him and when he let me find him, that we are free from sin and he cut away our sinful nature! I mentioned it when I gave my testimony and Everytime I bring it up, I am looked at like Im an alien from outer space!! But it's in the word over and over and over! God makes the tree good so the fruit can be good. He cleans the inside of the cup& dish so the outside follows what's on the inside&is clean also!

Jesus give me strength. I’m trying to balance everything on my own, but Lord I feel like I’m failing miserably as a single mother. Both sons are special needs I’m so overwhelmed trying to support them on my own. I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children. Jesus guide me and give me strength. I have faith you will carry me through this difficult time.❤️

temptation doesn't equate identity but Union in Christ does. Let us be tempted by Him than he works and wills his good pleasure through our soul and body. thanks Kris. i will produce what have within me, a soul man not the spirit man. We open the abiding door by trust in the One in us as us.

So what do say about 1 Timothy 1:15 "Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners, of whom I AM Foremost"?
@danham27184 ай бұрын
Paul was referring to what he came out of. We have to read it in context to what he was saying and in context to “all” of his letters. He is making the point, he was the worst of the worst. Would you say of all the apostle’s, Paul was the most unfit of them all? That he shouldn’t even be called an apostle? Well that’s what Paul say’s, so maybe we shouldn’t be listening to someone so unfit? There are 2 or 3 verses people use to say Paul was a sinner and struggled with sin in order to justify their own sin, yet the entire new covenant says otherwise, as well as the rest of Paul’s letters. It’s Holy Spirit which reveals the truth of our identity. While religion will always condemn, shame, and guilt people to conform. Hebrews 10 says Christ has removed even our consciousness of sin. But you won’t hear that preached often because religion chooses to live sin consciousness. 1 Corinthians 15:9-11 NRSV For I am the least of the apostles, unfit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. Romans 6:6-7 ESV We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. [7] For one who has died has been set free from sin. Romans 6:11,14 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. [14] For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

I fully agree with the concept of not calling oneself sinner, liar, thief, if you are a believer. However, with an alcoholism it's a different thing. As far as I understand for AA members saying "I am an alcoholic" means "I have to stay aware of the fact that my mind is ready to cheat me into drinking again". I met several people who confessed they are healed from alcoholism, they are a new creation etc., and they died from drinking. For them it was a religious excuse of sick mind to pull them into a substance abuse again. Because alcoholism deeply affects the mind. Besides, 12 steps are not primary the means to stay sober - they are the means to work on the character and to heal the relationship with God and people. The 12 steps program is not in contradiction to sound faith, rather the two fit perfectly to each other. Good word, thanks.

Working out our salvation in fear and trembling. We do not continue in sin. We are no longer condemned, but we better be convicted by Holy Spirit and repent immediately with fruit worthy of repentance. Otherwise we are just "cultural Christians" and risk Him saying He "knows us not"!

As the urgency grows nationally through the words of the prophets on matters of the nation, so goes the gaping, hypocritical silence of the one who claims to be on board with 7 mountain transformation. KV is effectively the Sgt Schulz gatekeeper of the prophetic clogging up the prophetic at Bethel under excuse of "political" involvement
