The best qoute I've heard all day..." God didn't put me on this earth to be validated by man concerning my identity...my identity is already secured in God"... I don't need to give ANYone an explanation of who I am. Whoever I am will show for itself. Excepted or Not. God on my side that's all that matter. Period.

I have been struggling with a challenging situation in my marriage for several years. Unfortunately, there has been a breach of trust within our union, and it deeply saddens me that my spouse is unwilling to address the issues at hand. I feel as though I am held to a higher standard than my spouse is willing to uphold, which further complicates our ability to resolve these matters. I decided to accept the faith of God in the matter and move silently, and take back my dignity and life. In Jesus' name. 🙏🏼

It may seem it's power but it eats you up inside to say nothing, when close family members hurt your feeling i need to put them in place , they will not understand silence , they would not even think they hurt you IMO you don't have to lash out but you need to value your own feelings & let them know

This teacher preaches to choose boundaries but honor your parents. Don't take this to walk away from parents. God will not be mocked. You reap what you sow. 5th commandment of God... "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise: so that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life in the land". Exodus 20:12, Deuteronomy 5:16, Matthew 15:4, and Ephesians 6:2-3 Ways the bible teaches to honor... Appreciate them: Be thankful for what they have done for you and value their guidance. Accept their authority: Recognize the authority God has given them, especially when you are young. Treat them with respect: Avoid disrespectful speech and actions, even if they act in ways that make it hard to respect them. Provide for them: When your parents get old, they may need practical support. Accept them for who they are: Don't be overly critical of them and put up with some of the things they might do that irritate you.
@rayebaldwin90862 күн бұрын
There should be boundaries. There are cases where some individuals have no choice but to do so. I understand what the scripture is saying at the same time it shouldn't be used in any way to allow someone to stay in an unhealthy situation with their parents. Let's remember that God will not be mocked when parents treat their children in away that's not pleasing to him. Remember just like He is watching how children/adults treat their parents it goes both ways. I just find it interesting how this scripture is always quoted in a way to guilt someone. If parents are doing wrong by their children just know God will deal with them just as harsh for the mere fact that the parents are the stewards and leaders of their children. Those children have to one day become adults and how they are raised does impact them.
