Sometimes “no” is the best response for our peace. Saying “no” can make room for the perfect “yes”! In this episode of #InTheRoom, we're discussing setting boundaries and overcoming brokenness along with a few key takeaways from #TheSameRoom conversation around Balance with Touré Roberts.

Yes!!!! God will DRY things up including relationships, jobs, family etc! After a certain point he doesn't care about our emotions when his WILL is calling you! He will even allow people to leave you who you are not strong enough to leave! He will snatch the rug- literally

@@janey_oge8865 Yes sis!!! In 2015 he snatched EVERYTHING from me and threw me in isolation season! I was lonely, lost, confused and broken! I had NO clue what he was doing. He was stripping me in order to prepare me and my God, the blessings were tremendous! If ANYONE is going through a stripping season, he wants to transform you to give you everything that belongs to you! Many of us are called to break generational curses so he will pull you from your family sometimes because of toxic and trauma bonds, he will allow you to loose that job and push you towards purpose, he will end that relationship so he can prepare you for your husband. Hold on and remain obedient even when you don't understand because soon it will all make sense. Don't fight against the process because you will cause the storm to linger longer. ❤

I was listening to Myles Munroe, I believe it was him if I’m correct, but he said something that convicted me. This what he said, and I’m paraphrasing, you tell God your laundry list of what He should do and we don’t give Him time to even answer! It’s like calling someone and telling them your problem and asking for help then hang up before they can say something. I’m telling you this talk with you guys was on time. He said it should be 5-minutes prayer and 2-hours listening. I was mind blown. It’s the truth. I’m a busy body myself and I have to force myself to slow down on purpose. Being intentional about where I’m going makes me intentional about what I should do to get there. That includes now sitting my behind down in silence. Baby steps for sure. But it’s a love language that I want to make a habit in my life. Love you guys for talking real like this.

This talk was personal to me from people pleasing to God drying things up in your life so you can be still in him! Literally God will call you, them strong convictions, soul groaning because there is something more in the inside or what he wants to tell you! I’m in a season of stillness, away from what i think that are my desires and just to be in awe of who he is and spend time with him. Morning Prayers and Stillness has become my fundamental routine, meeting my father and acknowledgment of my identity; to be in agreement with the great I am! Lastly all of you women of God are amazing! Brenda’s meter analogy was great the perceptive that makes you understand why your calling is worth fighting for

Every single thing said has been my entire journey in Christ. When I say everything. 🥺😢 From the first woman who spoke to the last. Wow!!! I hate disappointing others, I hate the thought I may miss out on what I need, I can go on and on.

You all talks are always AMAZING!! But this one right here spoke so much volume, from saying no to being still. Everyday, I'm faced with "what my task is for each day" because I just feel like I'm just doing life. And I am troubled with being still I always feel like I have to be doing something and when I am still, I feel like I'm not getting anything done. I often times feel like I have to be that friend and I have told myself, " I feel like I'm being fake" because I'm not genuinely doing it. I just think I'm doing the right thing. Also when Fatima she felt free when she said no, I desire that freeness, but my trouble is saying NO. THANK YOU, ladies for the beautiful topic and talk. It really dug deep!!

It is such an important topic for us to continue highlighting to empower us and set us up for success. 💯…to cement us in who God has called us to be; not seeking validation from people that we always trying to please above God’s perfect will 😢

Sheesh... I saved this video to watch later. And remembered it today. And how on time it was today. This has been a major struggle for me. God is working in me everyday with this. In order to follow God we have to make a choice. I don't want to live my life allowing everybody to use me. Doing "good things" but miss the GOD things he wants me to do. When Jesus says come to me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest for my burden is light. What God puts on you. What he sends you to do. He will give you the grace to do it. Even hard things seem easy when Jesus is gracing you to do it vs taking on things you were never meant to carry sheesh. This was so on time

Hi Jatavia, Yes, it's hard- because we rely on our strength most of the time. I believe the Holy Spirit is the one who empowers us to surrender to the stillness. Ask Him to help you, it's His ability in you that helps you walk in alignment and fulfill your purpose. Don't rely on your strength, environment, or abilities. It's the Holy Spirit's ability in you that empowers you to do the things you didn't think you could do- Just Ask, Listen and Submit.

The problem is people love is always saying yess to everything. People think God's love is just yess and agree with everything. Pleasing people is God's way of loving people. That's not God's love at all. People think saying no and having boundaries is evil. You have to be fair with people. You have to do for people based on how they sow in your life. You will not feel convicted if you don't feed bad spirit with good things and favor. True help is to help people be self sufficient and make life easier. Help is not being responsible for people and people bad decisions too. When you do everything for people, than people can control you and you become a people pleaser too. People become a responsibility and you are no longer helping them. People can take you for granted and assume you going to always be there for them. This creative a wreckless behavior too. REMEMBER HELP IS EVERY NOW AND THEN!!!!!! NOT EVERYDAY AND ALL THE TIME!!!!! HELP IS NOT BAILING PEOPLE OUT WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE TO KNOW BETTER AND KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG TOO!!!!!!!

A book that has blessed me is called, “Wake Up Girl & Push Through: Designating Morning Alone Time With God” It has beautiful morning prayers to start the day with. I stopped reading it mid way through, but I am deciding to start the book over again today.
