The Power of Personal Experience: infusing your art with meaning.

The experience of the summer solstice was the inspiration for creating "Solstice". This artwork was created with layers of meaning using the prompts "still" and "agitate". The word Solstice is derived from the Latin word Solstitium or "Sun standing still". Using acrylic media that is fluid and media that is heavy bodied creates layers that are both still and agitated at the same time.
