Dear Lisa, our God is soooo good. Last Thursday, I was waiting on the Lord, and the Holy Spirit downloaded multiple message. I didn't know what it was all about. The music helps to bring in the spirit of worship and to indicate a change from the message/teaching, to the invitation of drawing closer to Jesus. It gives people a chance to “exhale” if you will… and go from listening to the message, to processing it, and then to then our response. If you notice the Pastor will also soften their voice at this time… like Lisa is giving a guided time of response and reflection. Sometimes music just plays as the pastor prays…. Just my thoughts and experience.
