Thank you for sharing this, Nan. I'm with you on doing the protocol as Dr Goldner presents it without any alterations. If you're going to put in all that effort then you may as well do it precisely. All the best; I'm rooting for you.

Nan, as a 72 yo soon to be 73 in about 4 months, I “stumbled” across your channel last week and I can’t stop watching! I’m a firm believer we get what we need exactly when we need it. I’ve had my own journey to moving to a WFPB diet and since the first of the year I’ve stumbled a bit. Your information, inspiration and introduction of Dr. Goldner’s protocol is exactly what I need to make permanent changes; during this time I’ve also started having physical challenges that have left me…an otherwise (lifelong) healthy, fit woman…feeling discouraged…until I got your wake-up call 😃 I also immediately ordered your book, so inspiring, honest and encouraging…it’s difficult to put down 😍 Grateful for your presence, authenticity and willingness to teach 💗

So grateful for your message Shelly, and what serendipity! I am at the Plantrician conference and had dinner with Chef AJ, and her good friend, Dr Goldner. She speaks today, and I will tell her about her message, and that those of us who are passing it along, are making a difference. I’m so grateful that you wrote, and that you shared your journey. We are on this one together. In addition, you made my day with your evaluation of my book. Please pass on the word, and stay in touch-I want to follow your journey.🌻🥰🌻

Hi! Thank you for your interest and well wishes! I will update for sure at the end of the sessions when I get my lab work, but I will probably also post something next week after I see Dr. Gardener at a International plant based healthcare conference that I’m going to on Friday. She will be a speaker there.🌻🥰🌻👏😄

I have listened to Dr Goldner many times. I remember she we are to have greens, and or green or red cabbage, other cruciferous vegetables. When I was doing this I did a large amount of green cabbage and little amount if greens or all cabbage. Many people on the Smoothie Facebook was talking about usng cabbage. It saves money and some people cannot stand all greens. You are doing great. I need to get back on this. I had a brain stroke 1/31 this year. I have been healing, so I am doing the smoothie first thing in am. But eat big salad at noon, beans, and potatoes. I will try to be better.

Hi Carolyn,, thank you for connecting and sharing. I’m sorry about your stroke in January, and wishing you well during your recovery. It sounds like you are on a good and healthy diet. What I’ve learned from Dr. Goldner is that there’s a difference between that, and an optimum healing protocol. It’s an interesting new way of looking atnutrition. It may be worth your while to give it a four or six week try to speed up healing. I will certainly see it that way as I go on in the future. All my best to you. Please stay in touch.

Leafy greens are nutrient dense than cabbage, that is why your approach is not right
@NanSimonsen2 ай бұрын
Hi, actually, Dr Goldner recently said that any cruciferous vegetable will do, and cabbage counts as one of her green leafy options.

@@NanSimonsen yes that is what i have been told listening to her and reading others in the smoothie group. At this point mine is not as large as it should be. I am working on it. And i should get to raw at night. I have a big salad at lunch then a potato. A lot for me to change

I’ve been following Dr. G for a long time. You can count your 96 oz of water in the water you add to smoothie. I have a difficult time drinking a pitcher of smoothie. Also don’t forget the whole flax seeds in your smoothie or if you are eating everything, high quality pure flax oil etc.

How do you deal with the socialization because under lifestyle medicine being social and having a community is very important for mental health and I find it trying to eat the way I know these vegan doctors promote it does not work socially and even within my own family and my teenage girls, I can see that they want me to participate with themand it makes me feel isolated and it does make me feel like I have an eating disorder
@NanSimonsen2 ай бұрын
You make a good point to Anna, it’s not always easy. There are things we can do with family and friends that don’t involve food, and if you have a sit down conversation with them explaining what you’re doing, and why, you can ask them to support you while you’re trying to take better care of yourself. All of our friends know that we are invited to dinner, I always bring a dish that we can eat and that we share with others so they don’t have to supply my plant-based main dish. There are a number of restaurants near us where we can get plant based meals that are not loaded with oil. We meet family and friends at these restaurants. It takes some time and accommodation, but it really is worth it. And YOU ARE WORTH TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF TO LIVE ALONG AND HEALTHIER LIFE. 🌻🥰🌻

Im Curious . I'm sure your familiar with Dr lilse. He says you'll be absolutely fine if you never eat another green vegetable in your life. It really causes alot of confusion for me. He also is against raw food diets. Your thoughts?
@NanSimonsen2 ай бұрын
I can understand your confusion. Now I’m not familiar with that doctor and it’s probably because my guess is there is no real science, and long-term results behind those conclusions. The science follows the fact that whole foods plant based nutrition, supersedes everything else.🌻🥰🌻

@ Nan Simonsen, I’m sure you know Dr. Doug Lisle, a psychologist who is often on chef AJ’ shows. Thanks for your videos!

@@NanSimonsen Dr. Doug Lisle who works at True North and was also an employee of Dr. John McDougal. You must know who he is. Personally I will eat my vegetables have never liked juices or smoothies and all the flax she recommends would be out of the question for me. Good luck but I have my doubts about drinking all that sugar! Prepare to be more thin than you are now and this is one reason I don't do it anymore. It made me lose weight I did not need to lose. I just think whole food that hasn't been juiced or blended are much healthier. Remember Dr. Goldner and her husband are in their 40's so their outcomes will be much better. In my 40's I was at the top of my game anyway! In my 70's things are different because regardless of anything we are going to age. Best of luck to you and maybe it will be right for you but for me I avoid trends.

I’m really sad Nan that you are putting out so much misinformation. Dr Furhman’s chart is the ANSI score, not ANTI score. The HN protocol is high-raw, not fully raw. You might be referring to the GAIP protocol but it’s been months since I watched Dr Goldner’s videos.
@NanSimonsen2 ай бұрын
Hi Kimberly, actually we both got it wrong. It is the ANDI Score- intensive nutrient density index. The point being made that these foods are at the top of his list, whatever you call it. The purpose of this interview was to promote the health, giving affects of her protocols, not to be the expert. I explained that I was just beginning in it. and encouraged following her to get the details. Hyper nourishing in her vernacular means eating only raw, mostly greens and cruciferous vegetables, having a high-level of omega-3 fatty acids, using Chia, flax, and hyper hydration. That and other foods is one protocol, that alone is another protocol, and that with Lifestyle focus is another protocol. What I was focusing on is the central tenant of these three. I will never be perfect in any of my podcasts, but I will not let perfect be the enemy of the good, and even with my missteps, people are getting the point and finding benefit. I’m sorry you didn’t. 🌻☺️🌻
