Interesting video, TY! The data you refer to is from your database and that is over a million hands?
@chaipokeracademy3 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks for commenting! The data I have is 10+ million filtered hands from regs mainly from mid stakes (500nl). In my own analysis of data across sites/stakes, I found that the reg population average at each stake (low-high) makes over 90% of the same mistakes.

Increasing your x-r on the flop when rival overfolds is fine ,but this idea that "increasing your xr the flop will will also be fine if your opponent overcalls" should be taken with caution,most ppl will understand it as an invitation to dramatically increase their x-r frequency,cause anyways they will "make money" by making opponent fold on the turn,but the thruth is that ,making the opponent fold the turn will make up for some of the money that you lost on the flop due to not getting any fold equity with your air (it always depend on the spot,but the ev of the whole play has to include the ev of the play on the flop).There is off course a reason for the solver to increase it's x-r frequency ,althought not by a lot as shown in the sim ,simply since our opponent overcalls the flop,then we should expand our value range,as well as the amount of bluffs that go with it.

I didn't want to get too technical with it, but when we do the math, generally speaking, overfolds on future streets can often justify bluffing into small overcalls. I wanted to keep the video simple to hopefully reach a wider audience, so I've simplified the topic. I hope I didn't oversimplify it!

So, on this kind of flop, after ceckraisng, on the turn you like 50% pot size when you bet. Same size applies on other paired board like 885 or KKJ?
@chaipokeracademy3 ай бұрын
Yep! The strategy on most turns is similar, because the flops are quite similar to each other. There are a few exceptions however, one of which is on flush closing turns. There, we want to bet smaller, 25% of the pot, if we want to play close to solver.

What do you do if someone 3-bets the flop though? That would be my instinct to do against this a decent amount even though it probably isn't theoretically sound. Also, are people really betting 1/7 pot in a lot of your games. I see 1/3 and 1/4 on flops, but I rarely see 1/7.

You won’t beat the rake either way. You need fish to be winning a lot. So stop making these videos if you truly want us to win more.

How does playing well vs regs interfere with playing well vs fish? There's a good reason why high stakes players beat both fish and weaker regs. It's hard, but if you want to improve, I'm offering you the way

@@chaipokeracademy It's simple. Money from poker comes almost exclusively from exploiting fishy players. It doesn't come from regs overfolding hands that are theoretically 0 EV because that doesn't change anything due to the high rake. If you do a nodelock with a NL50 reg who overfolds these hands on a paired board, you'll see that their EV practically hasn't changed. And since the money comes from weak players, and your recordings cause weak players to become a bit better, it means your recordings harm good players because they can manage on their own anyway. You're doing it solely to line your own pockets So if you want us to win more, stop ruining the player pool

Hello, why BTN opens only roughly 50% of hands, instead of 80%? Also i play micro spins and yet have a small base, but again fold to XR is 25% and moreover it's mostly AI, so it will be 20 and less with no AI, so those moves should be carefully implemented in different type of games and stakes. Overall you have a clear trained voice and do a great job. Thanks! edit.. haha in reverse situation, i have 56% bet-fold(to mostly 4-6x AI), am i hugely exploitable?)
