True life begins at the foot of the cross by recognizing and accepting the power which was made possible by the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. This beautiful song touched my heart and assured me of who is in control of this world.

Oh, to see the dawn Of the darkest day: Christ on the road to Calvary Tried by sinful men Torn and beaten, then Nailed to a cross of wood This, the pow'r of the cross: Christ became sin for us; Took the blame, bore the wrath We stand forgiven at the cross Oh, to see the pain Written on Your face Bearing the awesome weight of sin Ev'ry bitter thought Ev'ry evil deed Crowning Your bloodstained brow Now the daylight flees; Now the ground beneath Quakes as its Maker bows His head Curtain torn in two Dead are raised to life; "Finished!" the vict'ry cry Oh, to see my name Written in the wounds For through Your suffering I am free Death is crushed to death; Life is mine to live Won through Your selfless love This, the pow'r of the cross: Son of God - slain for us What a love! What a cost! We stand forgiven at the cross

We are all here because what Jesus did on that cross. We go through trials and suffering in our life to reflect the image of our Lord Jesus Christ. God has to strip away all the layers of our bitterness, anger, saddness. Its so easy for us to say to God. Why am I going through this. I can't take it anymore. Please Lord help me endure one day at a time. One step at a time, one heartbeat at a time, one breath at a time. 100% dependant on God like a little baby. Whatever you are going through today. Know this!!! JESUS WILL BE WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. I will leave you with this verse that has given me comefort during my trials which are many. Psalms 40:1-4 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. 2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. 3 He has put a new song in my mouth- Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord. 4 Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. I see the fruit in your life. Godbless you and your family.

Beautiful voices but the song is corrupted by false doctrine. Jesus was a sin “offering.” He did not become sin for us or He would have been an unacceptable, blemished offering. Sin is what we do , not a substance that can be transferred. May the grace of Jesus be with you.
@rehtsestar3 жыл бұрын
I just checked several versions of 2 Corinthians 5:21 and they nearly all say God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us so we could become His righteousness.
@Elise777ful3 жыл бұрын
@@rehtsestar, this is proper teaching of atonement. The Reformers taught penal substitution derived from Roman Catholic Bishop Anselm in the 11th century. This false doctrine leads many to perish. Sin offering /Ransom Vicarious Substitution is Not Taught in Scripture. The Apostolic Teaching Is Ransom. Jesus did not take my place on the cross nor did He take your place on the cross. Jesus took His own foreordained place on the cross. His primary mission in coming to earth was to die on that cross in order to make salvation possible. A sacrifice was required because of man’s sin, Jesus was the only one qualified to make it, and man’s reconciliation to God depended on it. We each have our own crosses to bear, and we take our places on our crosses the day we repent and obey Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We then pick up those crosses and carry them for the rest of our lives. Make no mistake about it; God’s offer of salvation is an invitation to a crucifixion - our own. Two important proof-texts for those who hold to Calvin’s doctrine of Penal Substitution are found in Paul’s second epistle to the Corinthians and in the first epistle of the apostle Peter: 2 Corinthians 5:21: For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 1 Peter 2:24: He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds we are healed. There is significant textural evidence which demonstrates that 2 Corinthians 5:21 should have been rendered, “For He made Him Who knew no sin, a SIN OFFERING for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” More compelling than the textual evidence which the translators ignored, is the Scriptural evidence that refutes the very idea of a Redeemer blackened by the sin of man. God instructed Moses that the Passover lamb MUST BE without blemish. (Exodus 12:5) Christ was referred to directly by Paul as being our “Passover Lamb.” (1 Corinthians 5:7) The author of Hebrews and the apostle Peter both confirmed that our Lord died without blemish or spot. (Hebrews 9:14 and 1 Peter 1:18-19) If Christ had BECOME sin on the cross, His death would have been for nothing, for unless He was offered “without blemish and without spot,” according to Scripture, it would have been impossible for God to accept His sacrifice. Scripture plainly confirms that Christ was our sin offering and rejects the idea of a “sinful Savior.” Penal Substitution adherents use 1 Peter 2:24 in tandem with 2 Corinthians 5:21 to attempt to show that Christ’s body became blackened with sin. One famous Word-Of-Faith evangelist teaches that Christ became the worst reprobate sinner in world history as He hung on the cross. To support the fallacy that Christ became sin on Calvary, these people point to Peter’s phrase, “He bore our sins in His body on the tree” as if sin were something that could actually be inserted into the Lord’s living flesh. They ignore the fact that Peter was quoting directly from Isaiah 53 which states, “He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.” The Hebrew word translated “borne” in Isaiah 53:4 means to lift or carry. The Greek word translated “bore” in 1 Peter 2:24 means “to bear, to carry, to bring up, to offer.” Peter’s use of the words, “in His body” can also be translated, “with His body.” (Strong’s G1722) So we can see that Peter was in complete agreement with Isaiah. With His body (not in His body) Christ carried the sins of mankind to the cross. Calvin’s interpretation of these passages seems to be terribly out of tune with the harmony of the complete Scriptural record. His “Penal Substitution Theory,” simply put, is little more than fertilizer for his tulip. The two legs that support Calvin’s theory on the atonement are the imputation of man’s sin to Christ and the imputation of Christ’s righteousness to man. These are but two of the many streams of unsound doctrine that flow out of Calvin’s teachings. The Death of Christ is an EXAMPLE to follow because God's forgiveness is predicated upon hearts TOTALLY yielded to Him. The blood of Jesus established the New Covenant, a covenant with the foundation being the righteousness of God established through sacrifice. Jesus led the way and we are called to follow. Thus to partake in Christ's sacrifice is to die WITH Him, we die to sin and the world hence no longer walking as we used to, rather we walk according to the Spirit. Summing up, the call is to enter into a covenant relationship with God(like a marriage) through repentance and faith. Faith means faithfulness like in any human marriage. We are granted a fresh start via the blood if we REMAIN faithful. Jesus did not pay any sin penalty or establish some provision to trust in. Jesus established a covenant and gave us a clear example to follow. Transaction/Substitution Atonement views are dangerous and false including Origen's Ransom view (payment made to Satan). The real ransom is a rescue from serving sin and a rescue from a defiled conscience.
@Elise777ful3 жыл бұрын
@@tonymercurio , the doctrine of penal substitution/ imputed righteousness is dangerous and leads many to perish IN their sins. There is absolutely no Biblical support for any substitution, including moral government theory. No payment or provision for sin was made. Jesus offered up Himself as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins and the Father accepted His sacrifice. Jesus clearly taught the Cross as an EXAMPLE TO FOLLOW thus it cannot be substitutional. If the blood of Jesus testified the righteousness of God as it says in Rom 3:24-26 and that is connected to redemption IN Christ (v24) and a faith that upholds the law (v31) then obviously the "blood of the covenant" is the principle of sacrifice (ie. True selflessness). Hence no wonder Jesus told us to pick up our cross and die also. So simple. The Blood of Jesus is not magical or transactory, it represents a principle. Reconciliation is premised upon us yielding to that principle whereby God establishes us in true righteousness. Christ in us the hope of glory. So simple! It would take a theologian to mess it up. All mans foolish and destructive theologies are based on Satan’s lie to Eve that we can sin and not die. I’m praying that many will REPENT and get out of their man made denominations, take off their Roman Catholic goggles, their Protestant/Baptist/nondenominational glasses, and study the Word as a little child ready and eager to learn. Over 1900 years of lies have corrupted the churches. It’s time to return to the faith once delivered to the first century saints!
